Yes that is correct.. But even that would be a pseudo peace.. Muslims fight amongst themselves just as much.. Take the Sunni vs Shiite.. That battle has waged since Mohammad's death..

It's strange.. Muslims believe in the virgin birth and everything except the crucifixion.. Get an apostate pope, deny the deity of Jesus, adopt Mary his mother as a cosaviour.. You could merge Islam and Roman Catholics together.. Maybe this is what Daniel meant by iron (Islam!submission) mixed with clay(Christianity, people earthen vessels).. They mix but don't cleave one to another.. Who knows it's just conjecture on my part...

I digress, OP the people of the book are Christians and no, not by any means are they considered friends..
