This place is nuts, it is literally the edge of the world, off the coast of Somalia it has some trees and plants unique only to the island, it's just otherworldly and beautiful. I really think it is secretly the lost civilization of the D'ni, and I fully intend to access the Island of Myst from there.

Star for your mention of Myst and the D'ni. I was just thinking of those games today. They were - and still are to some degree - revolutionary. I can still remember the awe I felt at the immersive experience, story-line and beautiful depiction of another reality.

BTW and to stay on topic - this island is pretty amazing. I'd never heard of it before. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Definitely worth a little more research on my part.

Oh yeah the Dragon tree can be huge.

And Myst was awesome, so was Riven, Myst III, eh...and lost track from there.

I wish I got to play "Real Myst".

Thanks for sharing. * & F Very unique place! Lots of archeology research on this island, legendary home of the Phoenix according to one site I read. Amazing scenery, plant life, & history.

I know right? It's insane...it's like a totally different planet! I'm sure it's not very touristy tho.
