Just head it from a 20yr FAA controller that they got furloughed.
Current check in being processed short some days then thats it.
They are required to work during this time.

Lets see how long it takes for MSM to pick up on it.

Well I'm here in Orlando FL where I don't think I've ever once looked in the sky and not seen something flying. I will stop back by if for once it's empty up there...I could only imagine what would happen if they all went home because they aren't being paid. I think the US would default revolt and possibly be invaded/attacked all over night. If you think stopping trucking would be bad this would be a whole lot worse.

I don't care just means American flyers aren't going to have to get groped by the TSA.

Hell I would love the TSA to get 'furloughed'.

Hell and the NSA, and DHS.

Hell there are a lot of alphabet agencies I wouldn't give a ratts behind get furloughed.

I don't see how if you aint going to get paid for your services you should turn up, don't know what its like in the states but here in the uk the fact you'll get paid is part of the contract of employment and if the boss just decided to say...f--- it you can not get paid but you'll have to turn up i'd say f--- off or i'd secure my wages by taking hold of property to the reasonable value of what i should be paid like lets say airforce 1

Its based on pay periods
We are in the middle of that now
So the paycheck going out this week or next will be short 6day (since the start of the shutdown) out of the 10days paid normally.
Then no more paychecks until the gov goes back to work or someone funds them.

They will continue to work just without pay until things go back to normal

Looks like a delay for the deadline now

Debt Cap Raise Until Nov. 22 Gains Support to Bar Default, wouldn’t end the 10-day-old partial shutdown of the federal government

Keep working for free people

There's a difference between being furloughed and working without pay. If they were furloughed, they wouldn't be working, which you won't see happen with Air Traffic Controllers. They're working, and getting their pay for the work delayed (which happens occasionally with government jobs).
