Ah yes. Air on the G String . Has always helped me be calmer. Another is Libera's "Lament" and you also might try Samuel Barbers "Adagio for Strings". I've taken to having an ambient station preset on my radios. Ambient and Drift. That's the way to go.

Why the hell are you so worried about public perception? What does it matter what other, ignorant people, think about how you spend you free time or get your news from?

Even if you are on the bandwagon of weekly doom porn, why does it matter? Is it that much of an embarrassment to be associated to people of that caliber that you would go so far as to deny even your carousal of a site such as this?

All for a public pat on the head. You are good boys and girls. At least to everyone else you are normal and can live normal lives but secretly, behind closed doors, you are able to have an open mind. I guess.

So long as people can continue to be embarrassed about TRUTH and the SEEKING OF TRUTH, this world is never going to change. Hopefully you all know that it lies squarely on your shoulders - people with the ability to see past the farce that is reality, but too worried that their friends will make fun of them to do anything about it.

Hi, thank you for your comments, I have read them a few times and know exactly what you mean.
Whereas I do not agree that the responsibility lies squarely on my shoulders to spread the word, I do believe that when an opportunity arises to discuss an issue, say the monetary fiasco, ponzi, whatever you want to call it, then it must be taken. The money issue is one which everyone can relate to, whereas aliens not so much so, as with maybe the medicinal benefits of certain plants or the whole 9/11 story.
To me, a lot of it comes with confidence. If I start to talk to someone about an issue, I need to be able to overcome objections, sometimes a few, on other occasions many. If I am not confident enough to do this then my attempts to spread the word as it were could end up being detremental. It isn't really an issue of being embarrassed, I don't give a flying feck what people really think about me, and i have long left behind the notion of wanting to be liked.
In time, as my journey continues and my knowledge base expands then yes, my ability to sqarely look people in the eye and speak with confidence will grow. Until then I pick and choose my opportunities.
Any words of advice on how you approach the topic with someone?
