Couldn't agree more, also so if Ison is a bunch of UFO's umm wouldn't the orbit have dramatically changed?. So basically it's impossible if a UFO was going to come here they just would they wouldn't go on a big trip around the solar system, a predicted onei don't know to be honest I don't know a lot about it but sorry dude it seems highly unlikely.. As much as I would love for Aliens to come and save us from all the madness on Earth.....

I think those are the aliens that taught Nascar and our trucking industry how to draft and save fuel. They can also do it with comets, or they are picking up some more ice/water to convert to hydrogen and oxygen to propel the ship.

It would certainly be a way to move from Galaxy to Galaxy by sitting in the slip stream of a comet feeding of all those chemicals and vapour , a bit like sitting in the jet stream of a semi on the highway being dragged along.

And of course, you have all kinds of completely reasonable and totally unambigiuous reasons for thinking that the tail of a comet, that we have known was heading this way for some time, contains anything more than the usual collection of cometary debris.

I mean, you wouldnt post this thread, and waste peoples time, unless you had a pretty damned good reason to think, that a completely natural celestial event, which incidentally is rich in wonder and beauty all of its own, has a greater magnitude of importance for our planet than any other such event in the history of man.

But while we are on the subject of passing comets, we really ought to take a moment to appreciate the majesty of the universe that is all around us. For all our petty crap on this planet, for all our technology, our wars, our strange and ineffectual politics, mass murderers, rapists, racists, and whack jobs of every stripe, we can still look into the great beyond, stare at starlight many millions of years old, and wonder what lies behind every bright speck, every glinting shard up there. Space is a wonderful tapestry to be a part of, and every time I look up at a night sky, it reminds me that all we are is part of the weave.

Personally, I highly doubt that there is anything of any import in the tail of Ison, other than the very interesting particles of matter that have been following the main body of the comet around this vast shooting range that we call our local space. It is however, no less inspiring to the mind, no less amazing for all its mundanity, when compared with the prospect of being used as rolling cover by an extra terrestrial intelligence.

I apologize to other readers for using your entire quote, but it is a perfect example of "in-the-box" thinking. You label yourself a writer, but I must assume that far-flung concepts that tempt human thinking are beyond your personal allowances. If you knew anything about the history of comet observations from the 1880s onward to the present, you would find that other, unidentified bodies in and outside of the coma of various comets are rather common and have been reported by multiple members of the astronomical community time after time. Hale-Bopp in 1995 was one such comet. Despite clear, multiple images of that accompanying body, it was officially denied.

In short, comets are the UFOs of deep space. In your view, I suppose that would call for the instant dismissal of such an idea. But if you allow yourself to think deeply about that suggestion, beyond your self-imposed barriers of what may be possible beyond human "reasoning," you may come to the conclusion that comets honestly remain mysterious despite what science wants us to believe. Except, they don't quickly disappear as does a typical UFO and, thus, can be easily dismissed as being exactly as it gave all evidence of being. No, comets are a fact in the sky and must be constantly explained in devious means by science because as exactly with UFOs, the truth is unacceptable.

I invite daring readers to seek out my several threads on comets found in the Skunk Works forum. (The original one entitled "Rethinking Comets.) ATS deemed them unworthy of this forum and moved they to a less visible location. --A move that indicates that ATS isn't above showing their own biases in what it allows.

The object is hiding so well, that is was able to be filmed by an amateur astronomer? It actually states that it is hiding on the video, but hang on there it is, see it?

We can all make assumptions about what it is, but to suggest it is hiding behind the comet is absolutely ridiculous.

Instead of me trying to show you evidence that it is a star that can be seen through the comets tail (clue: can you see the thousands of other stars in the video?).....how about you present some evidence that this "star" is in fact a UFO.

Here we see a glowing object the is orb like in appearance and directly behind what NASA calls Comet ISON, but I call it a group of UFOs. The UFO in its tail has a coloration that matches that of the comet on purpose so that it can blend in with the comets tail and not be seen by primitive civilisations...namely us. SCW

Yes. I have writer status. I write fiction stories, but mostly I write poems inspired by a plethora of different influences.

For fiction I make the fullest of use of my imagination, and I even use my imagination to theorise on what MIGHT be happening in deep space, or Syria, or The White House, or the House of Commons. But when I use my imagination, I do not claim that it's fruits are in any way factual! The reason why I do not do that is because that is called LYING.

Now, I haven't got any reason to believe that the tail of this comet contains anything other than the sort of debris one would expect to find following such a well traveled object. While I can well IMAGINE that there could be something unusual in there, I cannot say that there certainly is, nor see any such suggestion as anything other than deliberate misdirection or delusion.
