At least Nero played a fiddle whilst Rome burned. Does Obama play a musical instrument?

Look carefully and tell me, what do you think? Of course he is hellbent in burning this nation to the ground.
The musical instrument of his choice is his voice. With it he will drag every american straight to something far worse than what you see today.

You should be demanding that these corrupt politicians get off their arses and put the people and country first, not what their paymasters demand.

How's that working for you guys?

I am not suggesting that things are great over here, far from it. But the Civil Service runs the country anyway, so there will be no danger of closing Government. They wouldn't put themselves on unpaid leave, that you can Guarantee.

My family relies on these forecasts during the summer months, and not only is streak a word they don't use, I have never heard or seen them use the terms dynamic support and amalgamating, ever. My car radio picks up the weather band, and I have never heard this wording.

I wouldn't put it past someone, but I'm with you, it just doesn't seem right.

Didn´t you see the link I posted from NOAA (National weather service)? I even inserted a pic for those too lazy to click on the link and read the explanation of the term.

I suggest you educate yourself.

Can you point to the anchorage page. I have the site but I don't find that item in the updates, as yet.

Here is a link but haven´t you heard everything is shut down. Ppl have gone home. Only skeleton crews left and they have their hands full. If you cannot access the page update its not my problem. Talk with the sysadmin or similar. Or click on the links i provided and try to find a way in from there.

Here you go... Area Forecast, Anchorage, AK 500AM Fri Oct 4. (currently version 5, but it will change as new forecasts are given)

It should be the 1st paragraph. This is hilarious.

This is what the hyperlink on the above page gives as a definition for "jet streak":

Jet Streak
Same as Jet Max; a point or area ("streak") of relative maximum wind speeds within a jet stream.

Hi john.

This is an interesting post and an example of how creative and clever we as people can be when we decide to be if it is not hoaxed.

I would like to see more creativity and cleverness with our leaders to re-form our country the USA for the better for everyone. When you decide who you want to lead us remember these days and times and make an informed decision that is without bias and conjecture.

We the people need to be as creative and clever now to take care of our future.

Have a great day everyone!

I am simply sharing my own experience with NOAA, I listen to them constantly, and check their forecast regularly all summer. Those same forecasts kept us from fishing very much this summer.
My husband has relied on these for 22 years and even he is saying right now that he has NEVER heard this wording used before. I wouldn't put it past someone as I stated previously, but I know how they format their forecasts and this is not it.

For your info, I was not too lazy to click on your link, I had a diaper to change, and that's a bit more important than seeking out an explanation of something that I use in my daily life thanks.

I checked the link, but it is worded way differently than I have ever seen before. Nothing changes that.

Temper, temper. Here, I added some pics of the NOAA explaining the big words for you

You are of course free to refute NOAA´s own explanation of the terminology as some kind of conspiracy aimed to dupe ppl out there but then, isn´t this ATS?

When December arrives and we get right on into the New Year without TPTB declaring martial law, killing citizens like sport in a shooting gallery, inviting in UN troops to join the sport or otherwise violating us in unspeakable ways?

This.

Nothing will happen despite how much some on here seem to think it will, or want it to occur.

The ceiling will be raised in the last minutes and nothing will happen. No martial law, no collapse economy, no UN troops.

It's all smoke, mirrors and circuses.

I think it is funny that federal workers are now getting upset given that the federal government working with corporations has trashed the economy and jobs. Welcome home.

I'd like to introduce you to a few friends and family back in the DC area that would love to show you their appreciation for your comments.

Just because they work for the fed or the military, or happen to work for a company that subcontracts to either entity, does not make them a bad person. I ended up living in the DC area from the point of being a teen for about twenty five years. And guess what, I too ended up working for the fed gov't and the military at times.

Including the most dreaded of three letter acronym alphabet agencies.

So, before you truly develop an us vs them mentality, please remember, there ARE good folks among them, who are working hard day in day out, just as you and I do. Many have families and children depending on them.

I don't understand why this is getting personal.

I simply stated my regular experience with them. I am not stupid. I understand what they are saying. I rely on them to keep my family safe while we fill our freezers every year. What they have to say can mean life or death to me.

When you hear and read something on a daily basis all summer for several years, you get used to the wording that they use. When something that you are familiar with changes, you notice. I haven't checked in a bit as that part of my season is over, maybe they hired someone else to type the notices up, I don't know.

I saw your screen shot, but no did not immediately click on your link. I admit that. I did also admit that I would not put this past anyone, as Alaskans are a breed of their own.

I do not appreciate being called stupid or lazy, as I am neither of those things. I never stated that it was a conspiracy by NOAA or anyone else, just that it did not sound like the typical format that I am used to.

People seem to like making things up an awful lot lately, forgive me if I was skeptical. Is there anything wrong with that.

I cannot understand how such a pro democratic country such as the U.S has allowed a Government close down. You should be demanding that these corrupt politicians get off their arses and put the people and country first, not what their paymasters demand.

But hey, that's the problem with 2 party politics. It's not really democracy is it? It's just voting for two sides of the same coin. It's an illusion that we all fall for because we have been conditioned to believe that any alternative would be bad for us. When in fact any alternative would be bad for them and their corporate/banking buddies.

Best of luck with it. We are being told in the U.K that any U.S default on their debt will cripple the rest of Western civilisation. At least Nero played a fiddle whilst Rome burned. Does Obama play a musical instrument?

You are rather enlightened.

Let's also not forget that there is a rather high probability that the "electronic voting machines" we are now forced to use are rigged to create an outcome. Sorry, I'm a veteran computer program. The odds of this are just rather slim, IMHO. It would take the single most just man on the face of the earth to not take advantage of this system, and honestly, I'm not too sure any of us can honestly say that they don't have a "price".

You are absolutely correct about the impact our default probably will have on the global economic swimming pool. Pee in one corner...and guess what, sooner or later, everyone is swimming in it.

Don't drink the water...

Dismiss? Research?

I've never heard these words before. I don't believe you.

Isn't "re-searching" just searching for the second time?

And "dismiss" just means not to miss, right?

That makes "shouldn't dismiss" a double negative, right?

You make no sense, BOPcaj. I call hoax!

Yes I was looking at version 4, 'rise' replaces, level' and so on, although that makes one of the actual forecasts nonsense...tut tut, naughty boys
