These are two congressmen, one Republican, one democrat.

The liberal goes off screaming, and is offered $10,000 if he is right, and refuses the opportunity.

THESE DEMOCRATS ARE RUTHLESS, LIARS. I am not a republican, but this is the first time in a very long time that I feel that republicans are actually looking out for our interest.

Keep it shut down until the bullies work with us.

A typical frost bitten response from that guy.

They sure do hate it when they're called on the carpet.

Lots of hot heads are popping.

They can't stand it !!!!

We've been seeing it 'their' way.

They're cool calm and collected as long as nobody challenges them.

Now they don't remember how to react when confronted.

I think those guys need a refresher course on Saul Alinsky

All I can think about is the joy It would be to bash that libs teeth in with 2x4..

The scariest thing about this is that him and many others most likely believe their own lies.. Pathological lying bags of waste.

They don't have an ACA subsidy. They have an employer contribution, just like most employees do in this country. It just so happens that their employer is the Federal Government...they have always received this contribution...and they are continuing to receive it.

Hannity is lying to you by omission...but it seems like you don't care.

"Now I'm not a conservative, but when I engage in partisan baiting, I like to do it against democrats."

*cue eye roll emoticon*

Hannity really is terrible as a host, and worse as a journalist. Re-watch that video. Notice how he loves to cut off the democrat every point-two-seconds, yet when the republican speaks, he politely shuts his ugly gob. I almost don't know why anyone who isn't ultra-right-wing and in complete agreement with everything Hanutty has to say, even bothers agreeing to be on the show.

Ignore the congressman in the middle of the video who is agreeing with Hannity, and keep pretending like you know more than that congressman.

I think what Hannity is saying is that the employer contribution amounts to what would essentially be a 70% subsidy under the Obama plan. Whether they are on an exchange and receive a 70% subsidy, or whether their cushy taxpayer-funded plan offers them the equivalent rate, doesn't matter.

What matters is that my family of four will no longer be able to afford health care of any kind because of $1000/month premiums, $5000 deductible, and outrageous copays. But this guy who probably makes three times what I make, gets what amounts to a 70% discount. It's obscene.

And it's especially obscene because WE PAY for this guy's health plan.

The federal government should require the federal government to use the federal government's newly mandated insurance plan. They voted it into effect for all the rest of us. They ought to sign on as well. And that's THAT.

Well...I do.

You are correct, one of the congressmen are lying. Funny how you completely trust one and not the other. I don't trust one of them because I know the facts.

But if you think congress is receiving a subsidy from the ACA, please go find me the language inside the bill that gives them this subsidy. You obviously don't believe me, so go prove me wrong.

PPACA screwed them out.

Obama bailed them out.

Congress, staff, to keep federal health premium payments

WASHINGTON, Aug 7 (Reuters) - Congress has won some partial relief for lawmakers and their staffs from the "Obamacare" health reforms that it passed and subjected itself to three years ago.

In a ruling issued on Wednesday, U.S. lawmakers and their staffs will continue to receive a federal contribution toward the health insurance that they must purchase through soon-to-open exchanges created by President Barack Obama's signature healthcare law.

The decision by the Office of Personnel Management, with Obama's blessing, will prevent the largely unintended loss of healthcare benefits for 535 members of the Senate and House of Representatives and thousands of Capitol Hill staff.

When Congress passed the health reform law known as Obamacare in 2010, an amendment required that lawmakers and their staff members purchase health insurance through the online exchanges that the law created. They would lose generous coverage under the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program.

Regulations issued by the Obama administration this week would require members of Congress to buy one of the top-tier insurance plans from the ObamaCare exchanges.

The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of the House sent guidance to members of Congress this week, based on a directive from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), that says they must choose plans from the "gold" level of insurance coverage, not "bronze" or "silver" plans. "Platinum" is the only higher level of coverage under the exchanges.

"For plan year 2014, Members of Congress and designated congressional staff will choose from 112 options in the Gold Metal tier on the DC SHOP," CAO said in a fact sheet that was emailed to Congress.

Yes, the OPM is creating a mechanism for the Federal Government to continue to provide it's healthcare contribution that it has always made to employees.

This is not part of the ACA, this is an internal employer/employee issue.
