You can be a god.

if everybody's got the potential to be a god, then it's not all that special to be a god, is it?

of course, I guess you could always seek out a tribe of primitive peoples with no contact with the outside world and convince them you're a god, but that's rather far-fetched.

It could be a huge game. Everyone gets a planet, or a solar system or a galaxy. We get to create any kind of life we want. We try to keep our people from killing each other (by giving them the Law, or morals) until they reach a point where they can leave their planet or whatever.. Then the point becomes to have your creation rule the universe for you by destroying the other Gods creations.
And all of us Gods hang out outside Space/Time watching/competing and getting drunk.
