At look at the current Drudge Headlines tell the tale:
POLITICS 'HAVE REACHED CIVIL WAR LEVELS'...
FILIBUSTER FAILS...
Obama adviser compares Republicans to terrorists, kidnappers, arsonists...
More unions turning...
Reid: 'There's No Need For Conversations'...
SENATE CHAPLAIN: 'Lord, deliver us from governing by crisis'...
BUCHANAN TO GOP: Fix bayonets!

As usual and very predictable.
It seems most of the hyped up sensationalist malarkey is coming from .....

Perhaps this all can lead to citizens forming something viable toward 2016. This is showing better than anything how the party system has brought us to the brink of destruction, as you say. Personal in some cases, and national for us all. We can't survive much more of the partisanship used to cover the individual incompetence across both sides. It's just too much.... Something has to give.

I don't understand why some GOP congressmen always want war and think it is a bad idea to even consider trying to talk to our enemies and work things out.

I don't understand modern GOP politicians need to be so unreasonable. Both liberal and conservative policies have made our Nation great. I don't understand why some GOP congressmen always want war and think it is a bad idea to even consider trying to talk to our enemies and work things out.
I mean it is not like if our Presidents attempt to talk problems out with Iran or whoever that just talking takes away America's ability to use it's vast military might if required.
It makes no sense to not tweak and change Obama care to make it good rather than just trying to burn it to the ground.
It really makes me wonder if those GOP are really serving the people who would lose money if USA actually could find ways to solve problems without war.
Ted Cruz is an unreasonable man and is not needed in our government. Our Government can never work if both sides start demanding everything they want in every bill they try to pass. It is ridicules.
Cruz “was an outstanding student in my class,” Dershowitz said. “Without a doubt he is among the smartest students I’ve ever had… I’ve had great students but he has to be at the top of anyone’s short list, in terms of raw brain power.”

Thank you for bringing this up, it is entirely true. Neither party is willing to listen to the other party's perspectives, or even admit they are legitimate, even though they are often supported by tens of millions of other U.S. citizens.
The truth of the matter is, each party holds part of the solution - the only way that ANY reasonable solution is going to work is if there is COMMUNICATION and COMPROMISE and people are
ALLOWED TO SPEAK (I blame the liberals on this one, because they have been shutting down opposing viewpoints consistently with fear-based tactics as of late).
If we could get the liberals and the libertarians to work together to support common candidates, like they worked together to fight the Syria attack, we might pull it off. Both liberals and libertarians are against authoritarianism, they just have different ideas about the balance of socialism and capitalism.

There is no change without crisis.
There is no change when the American people refuse to vote.
People need to stop bitching and actually get involved. We the American people brought this on ourselves by bitching while doing nothing more. We brought this on ourselves by refusing to participate in government. We brought this upon ourselves by refusing to fire the politicians who ignore their constituents. We brought this on ourselves the moment we developed the attitude of "someone else will vote and take care of the problem".
Regardless of how you personally identify your political beliefs, our elected officials must be reminded they took an oath of office, not an oath of party.edit on 27-9-2013 by Xcathdra because: (no reason given)

Unfortunately the House and Senate are overrun with Republicrats and Democans so we don't have a two party system... just one dysfunctional party
