Poice Sniper shoots gun from criminals hand....

I tried to post this is the 'posse comitatus' forum but it wouldnt allow me for some reason.

With all the bad press the police get, i thought it would be refreshing to see a gun being used properly by a cop with a brain! (Albeit they ruin it at the end by spearing the bloke off the chair)

Opposite sides of the coin. The criminal was a danger with the gun, and a cop used a gun to diffuse it.

I am against guns as a rule, but I am willing to see both sides of the argument

That's been floating around Youtube for years, Ive seen it like 10 times over the last 5 years....

Yeah I know, But I hadnt seen it on here so thought I'd share.

Well, I don't know how old this is but it is a classic!

It takes 25 men, including snipers and a can of beer to shoot the gun out of the hand of a suicidal (not homicidal) depressed guy sitting in a plastic chair. Having shot the gun out of his hand when he stopped threatening to kill himself, they pig-piled on him, gave him a couple of decent knees in the gut and helped him kiss the pavement for his troubles.

All in all, totally worth the $10,000 - $20,000 it probably cost to 'handle' this situation I think. After all, if they didn't dance that day for there supper, these cops would have done nothing at all.

No wonder they were so pissed off.

If the aim was to hit the gun. That was an honorable act by a cop. What if he was just a bad shot, was aiming for the head and missed.. Id buy that one first..lol

the dog pile afterwards proves that there are more dishonor than honor.

Great shot. I'm not much for the whining about police procedure though. THUMBS DOWN.

Put on the uniform and see how you'd fare. It isn't an easy job.
