Dude.. no daily or at least weekly backups? Nothing left around to use in a disaster scenario? No way to restore a copy or at least say point the config file to the last db backup somewhere?

5.3 version so you say, so the rest of us have to raise from 3.0 frequency to 5.3 in what time frame and do I have the chance to pack some bags before my universe deconstructs back to the one cell potencial flora/fauna; (an aside to the German fellow) yes, we not only have Germanic words in our vocabulary as 'americaners' but also French, Latin and just a smattering of English here and there (mostly slang and sware words).

Thank you! I needed to clean that mess out anyway.

After a few compares of the backups to the data (still retained) of your old messages, it looks like just about everything we had just before this mess started is available.

However, there's something odd still since queries against the data take several seconds to complete.

If we have enough members needing to get access to their old messages, I'll create some kind of exporting system that will give you offline copies. Let me know if it's needed. Otherwise, the data will be expunged in 90 days.

I don't mind losing all my old messages, but I would appreciate being able to populate my inbox with new stuff without it vanishing inexplicably! Thanks for your efforts thus far!

I have a 55% interested in old msgs. I have some treasures there.

However, I have enough on my plate, I'm skeptical I'd be able to, in a timely fashion, weed through them to save the treasures to my HD.

Therefore, do as you see fit, imho.

Got it now, thanks! I was wondering how to give others stars as well but didn't see that option until a couple of people pointed it out to me. I am still getting the hang of the new layout. It's not bad really.
