As far as Im concerned Obama has just taken Bush torch and continued the trend. IE they may as well be the same.

Hell look at the syria fiasco! Didnt seem to be much diffrence between the top Democrats and the top republicans.

Vote that Rand Paul of yours in to the office of president then we can talk about haveing a republican president.

Several years ago (maybe 4-5?) a former ATS member actually went back through the post histories of members and compiled a list of potential "shills".

I believe he was banned for that, or something else. Either way, he's not here anymore.

It would surprise most ATS members just how many of these "trolls" there are on here.

I'm here to disrupt, disruption. De-sensationalize, sensationalist BS. Stand for what's truthful, and have a #ing sense of humor about it. ATS, may or may not be infiltrated by "shills" get over it. This isn't some secret organization, they are here with their own opinions just as any of us. It may be a "mainstream", or force fed opinion by your thoughts, but if they are willing to come here and try to hammer it down our throats they must believe in it(take religion for example. I can think of a few immediately that love to try and ram it down our throats.)

There is a vile one here on ATS that spews venom, puts words in your mouth, equates you with actual scammers then when you put your foot down and call her out for what she is, she runs and hides behind the Mods and 'you' get spanked.

When Bush43 was in office this site was full of anti-Bush/Anti-conservative threads.
All you newbies have only been here for the Obama years ... wait until Christie gets

Except that Fascism is a liberal idea... State control and all that jazz. So you aren't entirely correct, and by that I mean you are completely incorrect.

A lot of what these trolls do is try and excite and get people to incriminate themselves in anti-government rants. They try and sniff out "potential domestic terrorists". It's not hard to rile up certain members on here and get them to spew some pretty alarming anti-government rhetoric.

One thing I never could wrap my head around is this: If there are as many as I believe there are, how come no one has spilled the beans? How come I didn't know anyone in college that did this as a side job? Does anyone know anyone that does this as a side job?

I mean, signing an NDA for something like Area 51 is completely different than an NDA for being a paid shill. I would imagine someone would talk to someone?

I've never heard a friend, let alone anyone say something like that.

This makes me think that the "shills" aren't directly doing the legwork. Perhaps their job is to use psychology to get us the ATS users to do the trolling for them without even realizing it. A slight nudge here, a bit of encouragement there. Basically, a hidden hand behind the scenes playing and punking all of us into being the shills themselves.

Just a thought...

It's not ridiculous, it's absolute fact. In fact, just about every govt (along with their friends) engage in this. Israel was the latest to openly advertise for college students to be their online shills.

Your comment on hypocrisy was so true. The left screams for tolerance and the minute a conservative shares their views we see just how intolerant the left is. Of course it runs both ways, but I think I have seen way more snarky comments start from the liberal crowd and after a while some on the right push back.

I'll use another agenda we see the hypocrisy. The militant gay agenda people who demand equal rights and acceptance, and when someone does not agree with them and wants to exercise their right to not support them then all hell breaks loose! So, respect only goes one way I guess. And before anyone flames me about being anti-gay, you could not be more wrong. I just like truth and dislike hypocrisy. I say let people be, do your own thing and don't try to force others to do what you want. I am a Libertarian and could care less what you drink,smoke, toke, or diddle as long as it's consenting adults diddling.

well i did get a email once "payed to read and post " $1:00 per post if that is getting payed ill wonder what the big wigs get froot loops and a bag of M&M's , no i do believe there are ones that do get payed in real money to derail and to get off topic a post, reply, or thread not saying they are here on ATS but then if their job is to do it then they could be here.
ytube CNN NBC ABC all have a poster that for some reason comes in and goes off topic or tries to derail the topic or poster, some times more than one... yahoo was good for it.
