The Bolling AFB info is unconfirmed.

ETA, reported on TV, CNN.

Wow. Finished up my four years old morning line up with PBS kids and turned the channel and learned of this. It's left a churning knot in my gut.

Does anyone have any information on who these men are?

I can see this incident is raising flags. I also notice those grabbing the waving flags and stomping on them yelling, "Look away, look away. It's not real! Just a distraction."

My condolense to the families of the victims, and all other the other victims in all tragic events the world over. This world is a scary place.

I KNOW that these types of I.D. are not scrutinized closely enough by security, and it's not very hard to fake a passable one if it isn't too closely scrutinized.

How do you know? I have been in many secured areas what have needed ID, that you had to scan yourself in and then be checked either by a member of staff or other means.
We are not talking about a store stock room here.

It is now being reported that 2 shooters are down and there is another incident local.

WUSA9 Live TV feed just said that there are reports of shooting at Bolling Air Force Base and police and an armored vehicle were leaving the Navy Yard and possibly heading toward the AFB.

If it's like anything where I worked you need to scan your ID, and then also enter a code.. This was at a not so secure building at an airport.. I imagine they have something similar.

BBC have just said that one of the shooters is dead.

AP Reporting a shooter died

Bolling AFB is stating that they need people at the second gate over EMS No other information. They are also in a holding pattern awaiting a 'tank' for a secondary sweep at the Navy Yard. For the record, Bolling was made to provide air defenses for DC. There was a ground hold on flights.

These is also HAZMAT on the way to an incident at a local childrens hospital in a underground parking garage.

Wow!, that's right across the river from the Navy Base, this is beginning to look more like a diversionary tactic still, just get everyone in emergency services into the same area and......Hope they're watching the river...
