SAIC is actively looking for Flight Scheduler in Creech AFB, Nevada. Provide direct assistance to the 432 Wing and associated units to provide scheduling support. Scheduling is a challenging, dynamic process. With potentially numerous changes due to aircraft mechanical problems, medical issues, flight evaluation requirements, expiring event currencies, deployments and student training continuity. Weather conditions and other factors beyond the control of the scheduler also limit flying opportunities. The scheduler needs to be able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances in a medium- to high-stress environment. Determine combat schedule requirements by comparing anticipated (Secret) sortie taskings (such as from combat Air Tasking Order (ATO), Skynet software, and/or MQ-1/MQ-9/RQ-170 liaison officer communication) against the qualification, availability, and training requirements of assigned crewmembers.
Portions of SAIC to be renamed Leidos, Inc., subject to stockholder approval and consummation of a separation transaction if approved by SAIC board of directors. SAIC is pursuing a plan to separate into two independently traded companies: one that provides technical, engineering and enterprise information technology services primarily to the U.S. government (the new SAIC), and one that delivers technical solutions in national security, engineering and health (Leidos, Inc).
SAIC Inc. (SAI) will change its name to Leidos Holdings Inc. when it spins off its government-services businesses near the end of this month. The company said Monday that it has won board approval for a plan, first unveiled last year, to spin off the slower-growing part of its business that handles technical and information-technology projects for government agencies. The separation will be effective after the market closes on Sept. 27. The spun-off business will be renamed Science Applications International Corp., and will trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol SAIC. The remaining company, Leidos, will focus on fast-growing, high-priority industries such as national security and health care. It will trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol LDOS.
