A "Shout Out" to ATS for constantly working so hard to Improve this Site...

I have heard some grumbling about the new look here at ATS.

In this new age of tablets and cellphones I am sure it is hard to please everyone.

I appreciate the effort and constantly trying to improve this site.

This is a very tough crowd. Phage once debunked my baby picture.

You can't please everyone. I like the new look. It just takes a little getting used to.

Phage debunked your baby picture? Oh.. that hurts. lol... He's just shown me how I need to research better, harder and not to go debating him without being 100% certain on everything.

Agreed on your OP though, Entirely. The new ATS takes some getting used to, and I'd be lying to say it's perfect or just what I'd like. It's close though, and close enough is plenty good enough when, as you note, so much hard work and effort went into this.

I believe, based on some real educated guesses here, more than 1 area was actually rewritten and not simple skinned for a new cosmetic appearance. I've been tempted to note a couple minor things that bug me in the new layout ...but then I have to stop and remind myself. They didn't buy this at a store, and someone has a WHOLE lot invested on every level in what got done. So...I figure the little things? I can get used to and learn to love.

Thanks for putting that out there. I'm getting around faster with the new format after some acclimation. The aesthetics are what they are. Opinions are like sphincters... everyone has 2.

Let me just start by saying ATS is by far my favorite sight and the owners and staff are good people. But at the end of the day people are making pretty good money off this sight and it should update and keep up with the times and trends.



The owner actually cares about bad ad's and has a thread to report them that shows just what kind of man he is.

You need to get used to it or you gonna get left behind.


Goes for anything in life.

I wasn't too big a fan of the new layout at first, but I use my cell phone to check ATS more than a computer and man does it work wonders.

I like it! I just miss the old emoticons.

I like the new look and tools a lot. Great job guys. Does anyone know how to get to the page that you last posted on? I know how to find replies, but I can't find out how to locate the last page that I replied or posted on.

I thought I did in my ATS under the subscribed threads section, you click your name. But if you're not the last to post, another posters name shows up and if you click that name that page is sometimes pages later? ~$heopleNation

Never mind, It's under profile, then you click posts. Duh. ~$heopleNation

Click on the little "down arrow" to the right of "logout" up in the tool bar.

I must say they did a good job. Thank you for keeping the black background as an option.

I am finding new gizmos everyday.

I really like the posts in thread link.

Keeps us older folks from repeating ourselves.

I encourage everyone to click on everything that your cursor indicates is clickable, there's lots of depth here if you move your mouse around and click.
