Because I know I'm not the only one. For those of you who own an HP tablet. And were permitted by HP to run Droid emulator. For us using the "Cyanogen Mod 9 or 10" . This is permitted by HP. Because HP is an OS. And allows for iOS format.

You don't have have to drop Google plus. But as SkepticOverlord has stated repeatedly for the last 12+ hrs. UPDATE YOUR BROWSER.

Issue: Some users names have characters that do not display properly in the page (see attached screen shot)


Perhaps this is also a case of old/bad data in the DB since these here also suffer from the odd Last Visit date issue. My guess is these characters may not be HTML encoded properly or do not match the character encoding for the page, confusing the browser during rendering. My browser is currently reporting the page being rendered using UTF-8 encoding.

That's two good catches. the first showing members online prior to Internet and ATS as we now it.

Page: New "LIVE" news item dialog page.
Issue: When the thread titles get long, and wrap, the page length gets extended, and the toggle icon between LIVE and FIREHOSE begins to overlap the text (the page also does not have scroll:auto setup when this happens)

Page: All/random
Issue: The users profile icon does not display in a consistent location in the user profile avatar to the left of the posts in a thread (see attached screen shot). Sometimes it is displayed above the stats area, sometimes below. I do not know if this is a bug or intentional, but thought I'd log it anyways.

Perils of the "forever scroll" concept. Between the time you first loaded the page, and your scroll, there were new posts that pushed the order down. The result: a repeat thread.

I still can't log into my main account, can't send messages from this account to mods either. This happened the last time I was getting error 3. Tried clearing cookies and cache, my devices not the problem can sign in on this account ok

This issue existed in the previous ATS.2010.

You, and 99.99& of members (excluding staff), have no idea how I struggled with the push to modern open standards. I believe in it. I'm passionate about it. I believe adherence to such standards is the future of all that is online.

I firmly believe that "native app" experiences are possible through smart deployments of web applications that utilize the best of open standards. That belief has driven every decision about the new ATS.5/3. What that means is that rich experiences are possible without beholding to the App Store or Google Play. You can be detached from credit card and user-account and still get the best-possible result no matter your device.

Could it be a case of a BR at the end of the line, combined with the size of the post forcing it to wrap, which is rendered below the stats as the "next line". PM me the code snippet(s) and I'll see if I can figure it out myself.

ETA: Perhaps changing the containing SPAN to a DIV would force it to always display below?

As far as the other glitches. They're kinda funny in an Easter egg video game kind of way. And some not. So for you and staff. Sleep, breath, drink coffee tea or red bull. Resolve is near.

Beginning to like the new place now.. Just takes some getting use to... I will add my final two pence take from it what you will..

Lost my gold bolder.. Now a silver. I thought we where to keep the three tier system.

The place you upload photos could be better.. I have maybe 500 photos you try putting them in three folders. If maybe in the future we could be allowed some more folders it would be useful.

The type is not strong enough. It does not invite to read. This is particularly noticeable on the recent post page.

So this is my first time seeing the finished piece, so to speak... It's ok u guess.

Looks much nicer on my phone, which is how I always view ATS, however looking at the options it seems they are limited when on.my phone?
When you click the little drop down icon at the top on your mobile, there are only 2-3 options, yet when on desktop version or viewing on my laptop, many more options appear.

Do mobile users have limited functionality or am I being blind and/or stupid
