Hello ATS ! I've been following this forum for over a year now due to interesting topics and discussions covered here. I Finally decided to join this
unique society and salute everyone around here. I'm 22 years old from Lebanon, getting my masters degree in architecture this year "hopefully"
since the coming strike ( "war" ) will have huge impact on my country as well, 1.5 million refugees already in the house ! ( equal to 35% of the
total lebanese population, and surpassing the number of lebanese christians ). Not forgetting that the lebanese resistance group will definitely join
into war if the strike turned out to be an actual war .. the missiles are already prepared and oriented now (mainly toward israel) which will cause
this to be a regional hell fight !
Anyway let's hope for the best ! See you all around ! .. Have Good Times
I think everyone is hoping that war doesn't break out.
I just got a new job in an Iron Ore mine which sells Iron Ore to China. If China backs Syria in the war, and Australia backs America, then I am out of
a job.
Good luck over there and let's hope this is the first of many posts for you.
Greeting Lebanon! It's great to hear another voice from that region, especially in this very tense time for everyone. Here is hoping all goes well
for you in what is about to come upon us all and I look forward to hearing perspective from there!
Hi, there and by all means keep yourself and family save. I am sure that somebody is paying for the extra stress of your country taking in so many
refugees or at least I hope so.
I have big fears like yourself..my daughter lives in Lebanon and I worry daily for her safety. I am hoping this mess will all quieten down soon and
things can get back to normal. I love Lebanon and enjoy visiting often but I have had to put plans on the back-burner because the foreign office are
advising not to travel and my travel insurance won't cover me. It is a beautiful country with beautiful people and has a lot to offer. Let's hope
the powers that be see sense this time!!!
Thank you @Purplemer ! Usually yes it is safe and you would definitely enjoy your stay ! However now everyone is stressed out waiting for the results
of the coming strike ! Other than that nothing to worry about ! now it's the end of summer but it's still bit hot and it's very lovely in autumn !
So my advice wait few weeks to see where we're heading and then if everything went right go for it
Welcome to ATS. Nice to have a member here who can lend a voice to that part of the world. Looking forward to reading what you will share in future
posts. Stay safe.
