What if the all worlds forces showed up on Syria's shores.

Imagine if all the worlds combined military force showed up on

Syria's coast and said "you have 3 days" or it's all over. I think

we could take care of this mess in a week or two. Or teach a good

lesson for future events. What a huge drama this has become, so

political it's not achieving a goal other than sabre rattling. This is

a matter for the UN and the world to manage.

I think the idea that can or is even possible to ever happen is wishful thinking. It's very well intentioned wishful thinking, but .....

That's becoming clearer by the day in the International flotilla of warships that IS converging off the Syrian Coast. The problem is, they are neither like minded, nor anti-Assad in entirely too much of what is coming on-station. As time goes on, we'll get more that aren't even rightfully forming TWO clean sides....as others have noted the interests overlapping interests in this region and fight can draw in a half dozen nations or more. The Syrian people coming about dead last of everyone's list, sadly.

The UN is handling the problem...but (gulp) the problem isn't turning out to be quite what we had in mind.

Most of the world can not project power like that. Outside of the US nobody can move large scale military forces and then support them. Some of the NATO members like the UK and France can send small scale forces and support them. While a few other nations like Russia, India, Italy and Spain and could manage to get a small number of light forces their they would not be able to support them. So pretty much your stuck with if the US does it or not.
