Calls to Congress 499 to 1 against Syria war

Americans are slamming at least 22 members of Congress with thousands of phone calls and emails, urging lawmakers not to approve a military strike on Syria – by a margin of as much as 499 to 1.

Here's just a FEW reports from the Congressmen themselves:

Rep. Jim McDermott, D-Wash., tweeted, “Calls and emails from my constituents is 100 to 1 AGAINST getting involved in Syria. The American people are speaking.”

Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., said 99 percent of the calls his office oppose an attack.

Rep. Andy Harris, R-Md., said, “Constituents who have contacted my office by phone or mail oppose action in Syria 523-4 so far.”

Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., tweeted, “My phones are blowing up, and an overwhelming amount of constituents oppose U.S. military intervention in Syria.”

Rep. Matt Salmon, R-Ariz., tweeted, “Syria constituent calls 489-2 against.”

Rep. Shelley Capito, R-W.V., said of “about 1,000 calls to my office, maybe 5 are for.”

Rep. Vern Buchanan, R-Fla., said calls and emails to his offices are 600 to 9 against striking Syria.

Go ahead. Read this WND article, Mr. President. Of course I wouldn't expect it to mean much.

But you are about to be the most unpopular President EVER if you go ahead with strikes on Syria, based on lies. Not to mention you just might start WW3 in the process. :shk:

If he does decide to attack Syria, this will prove beyond all doubt, that the US Government is receiving instructions from someone other than the American people.

If that isn't treason, then I guess nothing is.

Doesn't it also prove that Russia and China should install a no fly zone over America after limited and measured strikes to take out air defense in order to protect an oppressed people? It would be for the freedom, not our oil refineries and natural gas deposites of course. Then they could have their own currency that the world trades in, all while fighting for Freedom of course..

Right? Ha ha ha would be more funny if it wasn't happening to other countries as I type.

Yup. I mean even if you take the lowest numbers, he is still facing well over 75 to 1 No's vs. Yes's. I mean that's overwhelming no's in the truest sense of the word. You can run, you can slide, but you can't hide. Face the truth Obama- you're outgunned by the pen- and telephones.

Those figures suggest to me that 1 person in 500 DOES NOT surf incriminating porn on the internet.

Hopefully people will think twice before stereotyping "Americans" as warmongers.

There won't be an attack, they are delaying. There wasn't much fuzz with Libya or with Iraq/Afghanistan. They just went in.

About a week ago it was an attack "within the hours". For those waiting for WW3, I wouldn't bet on it lol.

If he does still go ahead with military action them he is putting many lives at risk, not only in other countries but in the US as well.

Maybe the UN security council should send in inspectors to determine who Obama is actually taking orders from. Then implement a no-fly zone and a limited strike to teach Obama a lesson. Im sure it would be easy to get a coalition of countries to agree to this. NSA, im joking ok.

After all, Obanana is right up there with looking after the minorities and making sure their voices are heard.

Americans aren't bad. They are just bad at getting rid of bad leaders.

I wonder what would happen if the US goes it alone and the world (UN) enacts sanctions against us? No-Fly zone and a boycott off all US products.

I'm pretty sure the the US could weather that little storm.

And it might be just the thing to get the UN off US soil. They'd have to find someplace else to meet.

The classic south park episode about war really nailed it for USA attitudes towards their wars: Campaign against it as a indevidual so when you as a nation do it anyway, you look compassionate but firm.

Lets be frank here Mr Obama will be very disappointed indeed and from the looks of it congress is going to make a big resounding NO to Military intervention.

They wont just bomb Syria they will have to take out Iran know too cause they know they wont be able pull this bulltish again!!

Congress may not back its on people of the USA, but at least we have Russian President Vladimir Putin backing up the American People...
