OMG Obama is getting massacred by Russia, Read this, Putin is bringing it to the US congress.

President Vladimir Putin has supported a proposal from Russian MPs to send a parliamentary delegation to the US Congress in an effort to resolve the Syrian crisis.

“We should more actively involve the parliaments of our countries,” Federation Council chairwoman Valentina Matviyenko said. “We would like to address senators and members of the House of Representatives in Congress, to have a dialogue with our partners.”

Russia will also welcome members of the US Congress in Moscow, Matviyenko said.

"I think if we manage to establish a dialogue with our partners in the U.S. Congress ... we could possibly better understand each other, and we hope that the U.S. Congress will occupy a balanced position in the end and, without strong arguments in place ... will not support the proposal on use of force in Syria," Valentina Matviyenko said.

Putin is making Obama his bitch. Way to shove his Nobel Peace Prize up his ass! SNAP!

I like how Putin can talk off-the-cuff, and is willing to actually answer questions on his own, live.

He makes a strong point of unapologetically doing what is right for Russia first and calling for other countries to consider National interests first. Along those lines he is willing to refer to Sovereign Nations, something America seems less interested in.

He may be an old School hardliner, but he puts his country first and I think that deserves respect.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

Yes the U.S govt is deeply flawed, but Russia is far from a perfect democracy as well. Putin wouldn't be where he is today without TPTB that got him there, does that sound familiar?

The only reason why he's speaking up is because the U.S is the old enemy, face it these guys love to hate each other. And as soon as both sides realize the cold war ended more then 20 years ago they can move on and be on the same page for once, instead of holding onto the animosity that should've ended when the wall came down.

This can only mean that Russia really means buisness, when they say that they will support Syria.
If they want to take these steps. But the Us would never let Russians debate them in congress. That is like saying the US are to dumb to come to a proper conclusion on their own.

He makes no effort to cover-up who and what he is. And he is quick-witted enough to speak to reporters on his own. What you see is what you get, warts and all. It is refreshing. His first and only priority is his country.

If we had someone doing the same for us, we would be better off.

I am in the UK and Putin's speech makes more sense than Cameron's or Obama's, what is that telling us about our great democratic leaders?

Putin using that line about the Nobel prize winner was great. The Duma coming over here would certainly be something to see.Russia is acting like an actual ally while The US acts like the empire obsessed mob they have always been since the Cold War.

Putin is rather soft spoken here. Makes some valid points, still misses the fact that thousands have been killed at the hands of its own leader. Assad badly needs to be dead

Yea, everything would be skittles and rainbows here if only we could have Putin as our leader. All our Constitutional rights would be returned and he could even clear-up that messy gay problem we have. Maybe we could get him to team up with Xi Jinping for the 2016 election. After all, the Chinese economy is much stronger than ours. Between the two of them we'd be living the dream.

Considering how much this board freaked out about the death of Michael Hastings it's strange they have so much love for a man who has killed many more than one journalist in his country.

List of Journalists killed under Putin

Let's not forget he's a spook. Putin represents everything we don't want in an American leader, and you falling for his propaganda speak is just as sad as anyone who believes everything Obama or Bush say.

I think Putin is a much much tougher guy than Obomer.

The USA has an ocean either side, friendly Canada to the north and only tiny Mexico on its southern border to deal with. Easy peasy. Yanks have no experience of terrorists on the ground except made up ones.

Russia on the other hand has all sorts of problem countries and regions all kicking off and threatening to come knocking. Putin has a whole lot more real problems to deal with than the pansy tucked up safe and sound in the WH.

First, I don't hear anything intelligent from putrid, just the same old kgb line, same old crap. Russia does what they want when hey want and the problems you speak of are their own making. They intervene militarily All over the map in countries that were allowed their freedom back when the hardliners were not in charge like Georgia. They are brutal and is why they are still facing opposition that they call terrorist allover the map.

You guys have lost it if you think Russia is the high ground here. They are the very reason why Assad has chemical weapons. Give me a break. The only real question here is why we have to be the ones to clean up their mess. Why is not the Arabs and the rest of the countries, turkey, Jordan, Saudis, and yes England and France and even Israel, it is more their problem than ours.

But, we are the real moral compass of the world. My problem is we should be angry at ourselves because we already let over a hundred thousand souls die there. That is what is insane. That is what we should be Angry about, we should have never let it get this far, Assad should be gone already and those hundred thousand lights should still be lit.

If you guys don't like it here go live somewhere else, but when you figure out it is not so bad here after all we don't want you back.

Stop whining and do something, run for Congress, be a positive changing force for your country. Try and change something instead of complaining all the time. Sorry but I grow weary of people who just want to whine. If you don't vote, if you have not served your country in some way why do you think you have the right to complain. You have to be a part of the country, part of the solution.

Im with Putin." and "Putin Is trying to bring Russian out of communism and is a Christian, anti Muslim, Obama is pushing America into communism and is anti Christian and a Muslim.. Total Oppisites except Putin has Big Balls"

opal, It's like I am riding a roller coaster when reading your opinions on these issues, mainly concerning the madman Obama. One minute you're making sense, and the next minute you're calling Obama a Muslim sympathizer? LMAO!!! Obama works for The International Banksters! He also had Rahm Emanuel as his former Chief of staff. Would an Israeli who's family has deep political ties in Israel support a Muslim sympathizer? Of course he would not, that would be suicidal. Israelis are no fools.

My god the disinformation is what will be the death of every single one of us all here in the West if we don't get down to the truth once and for all. Way too much disinformation that is leaked in order to mislead and confuse the sheople.

Obama doesn't give a crap about Muslims, he's only continuing the exact same Middle East policy as any other puppet (other than Ron Paul) from either party would be doing now. All he is orchestrating here at home is keeping up with his domestic divisionism end of the bargain that he promised to the masters of puppets for them backing and funding his campaign.

You're smarter than the Obama is a Muslim sympathizer thing buddy, just saying. I was left with no choice but to correct your error about that. Continue on, cause you and I agree 85% of the time though . Best wishes. ~$heopleNation

I do not see what is offensive about the Russian MPs proposal. It is smart. It is also logical and aligns with common sense. In an increasingly interconnected world lines of political communication need to be expanded not repressed.

This suggestion is a great idea. Now, if the ego-ridden Congress can accept such a request is an another matter entirely. I am not holding out hope.

Maybe they can exchange how each country deals with treating their citizens?

How Putin treats Homosexuals, those that question the official party line, and how does one get state-owned nuclear materials into a whistle blower causing them a horrible death?

This exchange would be awesome....

Tell it brother, be a wonderful world if we start listening to the lies and double talk firm putin. Some of these folks have no grip on reality or truth at all. For example, Obama has on several occasions confessed publicly that he has accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior and that he gets on his knees and prays everyday. A muslim would die before saying that out loud.

I am an independent who did not vote for him, but I am big enough to admit that Bush left us in one hell of a mess when he took over. And whether you like all his policies or not we have come a long way back on the road to recovery. We are not there but I have to be honest, it is much better than what he was left with.

I don't agree with allot of things but I can be honest and one thing I know is you don't move forward by whining, or bashing all the time. One person can make a difference and it starts with just one.. We could be surprised at what we could accomplish if we worked together.

This conversation about putin is just a joke and not based in facts, or truth, or reality.

So essentially what you are saying since he did it Obama can do it to?

I can tell from your posts of late you are acting very defensive that people are (rightfully) crapping on the American administration for their Imperialistic actions.

and in before I-I-I-IRAN rhetoric (some of you are starting to sound like Democrats with Bush)

--------------------

Here is my take on things.

We don't know who used the chemical weapons, was it the rebels, was it the Syrian government? But we do know that

Assad isn't a very nice guy at all. When people started protesting a couple years back he had no problem having soldiers shoot / torture people. The rebels, well they are a mixed bag of groups with different goals.....even if Assad wanted to hand over power, who would he give it to?

Yes, Syria is a proxy of Iran and Russia, gives out weapons to terrorist groups against Israel. But what of it? Sounds like a problem that Israel needs to deal with.

So lets say Obama starts a no fly zone, starts bombing the hell out of Syria / Assad positions. Do you think he is going to just sit there and take it? He has already started to spread out his missile stockpiles.....US intervention in a Syrian civil war isn't going to end things. The "children" we keep on hearing about are going to keep on dieing.....and as I said, if Assad gets taken out by the US, who is going to replace him? Not like anyone over there likes the US....if anything you are going to push more people into the extremist camp.

As I said, everyone has their agenda, including Saudi Arabia / Israel and the US. I won't say they are the baddest of the bad, but they aren't some glorious "spreading democracy" good guy either.

Oh, just another tidbit, I bet you that once Assad gets the axe, I bet the Christians will shortly follow the same route. Just ask the Christians in Egypt.
