Everyone should now see a 3D-ish orange background in smilies on the light version, and a green background on the dark version of the site (if not, force-refresh your browser).

And it scales with the smilie font:

i am going to finish this project (even if SO loses interest). I have 26 glyphs set up in one program....but have had issues getting it to render out the ttf file. Tonight I hope to get a separate program to see how it works out.

If that doesn't work, I will buy the program for it (since I have other uses for a font creator besides just ATS).

We definitely need the roll eyes dude, thumbs up and down and the panic guy.

I remember one time a member thought that was a pair of boobs shaking at him. Not a bad idea actually but probably not within the T&Cs though.

Trying something...

The huge white file isn't pretty. But it gives contrast for you to see. I coulda trimmed the bottom off....but i am trying to get back to some work that is pressing.

The transformation to glyph is fairly good, and they seem to be fairly clear (at least compared to others at that size)
