As we are all possibly now Martians, are we now watching the skies for earthlings?

After reading the theory that we may all be martians. does it mean we now watch the skies for earthlings as opposed to aliens. or as well as aliens....or is there such thing as a native earthling, was there life on earth and somehow completely became extinct. and are we the accidental inhabitants from mars.

What if we Martians wiped out the original inhabitants of Earth just like how the European Settlers wiped out the Native Americans in North America

I've often pointed out that to anyone else...out there...WE are the Aliens!

There's something not right about us, and I am beginning to believe we have either been put here, or at least interfered with genetically. Might this be why our governments invented so many laws that allowed them to get us all on a DNA database?
Are we from Mars, quite possibly. Wouldnt that cause a stink amongst the religions

Yea I feeel the same way. You know what did it for me? Getting skin cancer from what gives life to everything on this planet. That being "our" sun. If evolution is real and I do believe it is, why did we adapt in such a way to leave our bodies victim to the sun and the elements?

so we may have come from mars?yeah thats fine by me but where did life come to mars?if life came here from mars then life came to mars from somewhere else, can,t claim one thing and not the other,so if life appeared on mars it came from else where also.

Ummm it actually compliment your hypothesis nicely. I know your implying maybe the original inhabitants left but they might have been wiped out. By disease or by force its a possibility. The post simply points out the nature of man.

Wow, I hope you've recovered?
Yep, I go along with evolution too, but it doesnt mean we've not been messed with, because like you say, why are we damaged by the very thing that gives life?
I think many alien life forms out there would likely come from a planet thats covered in cloud, and therefor they wouldn't see much of their sun, could we be from somewhere like that? Some of the planets/moons in our own solar system are covered in gas cloud.
Thinking about it, we're quite poorly equipped considering we supposedly evolved here, we cant see in the dark, and many of us need sunglasses during the day, and we burn when exposed to the sun.

So how can we be searching the sky for the true earthlings if they are extinct? Maybe you should change the title.

We didn't adapt in order to leave our bodies victim. Evolution just didn't come up with a way to shield us.

There is also the fact that we have time to breed before skin cancer kills us so that "weakness" is not really a survival advantage from a strictly evolutionary standpoint. Why do we get arthritis? Why does our eyesight fade?

Oh sorry I can see how you came to the conclusion but I didn't mean myself. Just man in general.

Why did we shed our fur from primates? Seems that would have protected our skin from the heat as well as the cold.

It wasn't a statement, it was a quesiton "did they somehow become extinct" and we search the skies for so called aliens, and no one knows if they are physical or not or even if they really exist, and I wont be changing my title..

I see what your saying but you seem to have added a little intelligence into our evolution. You adapt to survive right? Or did our DNA evolve in such a way to just allow us to breed. Did it know we would be ok long enough to reproduce? I don't know the answers to your last to questions. That in itself is kind odd. Maybe our bodies weren't built to utilize our eyesite to look at this small cell phone like I'm doing now. As for arthritis some forms are hereditary.

Wouldn't our fur be better sheilding then what we have now?

No. Random mutations occur which may or may not be advantageous. If they are advantageous the animal has a better chance to survive to pass that mutation on to its offspring. If they are not advantageous (or harmful) there is no improved chance (or even a reduced chance) to reproduce.

As for arthritis some forms are hereditary.
Exactly. And since it usually appears well after offspring have been produced it has nothing to do with evolution.

That may be true. but life must have originated somewhere. it cannot keep coming from someplace else, I mean if we found a planet with humans on it, that were as we are but much more advanced, becaue it may have been from thier planet that a piece of rock spouted from and crashed into earth and so our species evolved there. or if you like thier species evolved here which is us, but of couse not as advanced. it's a bit like the chicken and the egg scenario, which came first. at the end of the day, we may be on the planet we evolved on. and there are no other fanciful theories. who knows, but it is interesting, thanks for response
