How to fix the world

I would love to see a world, where every single country in this world, followed these steps.

Step 1.

Focus your resources, hard work and time on fixing your own damn country, before you attempt to "save" the rest of the world. Not one single bloody country in this world is even close to being a good enough role model yet.

Unite your people/citizens by making them happy, safe and cooperative.

- Everyone should have a job. If you do not want an education or have any specific job you dream of. Then we need plenty of people to keep the streets clean from trash, public parks beautiful or even go to your local retirement home and check to see if any of the elderly need some help to go for a walk or just wants to talk. Just do SOMETHING for at least 7 hours a day. Help out where you can. Do that and we will make sure you have a place to stay and get you well fed. You wont get a big house or a fancy car. But we will take care of you, if you simple help society.
Big houses and fancy cars can be bought for the money you earn from a job, once you figure out what you want to do. Till then, take care of society in any way you can and we will give your the necessities such as food and a roof over your head. .

- Education and school. Medicine and hospital. Public roads and places etc etc etc. Are all taken care of by the state/government. However we need some money for it and your the ones using it, so lets say you give us 35% of all your earnings and we will handle all that stuff. For 35% your safe and sound with no worries. The 35% is non-negotiable, it will not be raised and it will not be lowered.

- Low tolerance for crime and at the same time fewer rules.
A crime should be defined by the following. If your actions has a negative physical, financial and/or to some degree emotional effect on anyone but yourself. Whatever action your doing, needs to be stopped. The severity of said action reflects the punishment.
Crimes deemed inhumane such as murder and rape are punished by death. Seriously, we do not want to spend our resources jailing and feeding you. Your not worth it. A single bullet is the quickest and cheapest way to get rid of your likes.
Whatever you put in your body be it smoke, drugs, alchohol whatever, is your own damn choice and problem. Not our issue. You will however have to live with the consequences of your actions. If you at some point want help, we will be here to help you. You just have to ask. You come to us, we wont interfere with your life, we have better things to do.
If you want a gun, buy a gun. If you want an armored tank, get one. Heck, if you want a horse that poops grenades and has a mounted minigun, get one. Use it on someone innocent, and we will kill you. Jailing you is too expensive, your not worth it.
So long a citizen leads a non-criminal life, said citizen is untouchable by any sort of police, agency, government or state. Whatever you do is your business. But once again, once your actions can be proven to have had negative effects on other people, we are allowed to investigate further.

- The peoples opinion matters.
Any major decision that affects the whole country and its people, is put up for a vote to be decided by the majority of the people. The internet makes this easy and possible if at least 80% of the citizens will cast their vote. Which a happy, safe, cooperative and united people will. Politicians and officials are below the majority of the citizens.

Step 2.

- Ban all religion.
Religions is no longer needed. It was needed back when we as a race had a lesser grasp on morale. Today we understand what is right and what is wrong. Religion is no longer needed.

- Remove the illusion of difference.
A way of thinking that must be pushed by the state/government is that there no longer is black people, white people, straight people, gay people, poor people, rich people etc. etc. etc. There are only humans and we need to cooperate and help each other in any way we can.

Step 3.

Do not F%#(! with nature. Food is to be grown, kept, raised, etc. etc. etc. naturally. Meat, vegetables, fruits whatever, is not to be polluted with poisons from any kind of source. You will also respect your food. Even though that cute little calf is gonna be your burger. It needs more than a few square feet to live on, until its end.
Forests, jungles, oceans, parks, insects, wildlife etc. etc. etc. is to be taken care of. This will be our new "religion". Making sure the natural world and our environment thrives and taking care of our planet or at least our own little corner of it.

Extreme steps and resources must be set in motion and used to find a lasting, non-harmful source of energy. Once done, steps shall be taken to phase out all use of fossil fuels and other polluting sources of fuel and energy. Safe and lasting energy.

Step 4.

If available a product, employee, company etc. etc. etc. must be bought, hired, used etc. etc. from inside ones own country. If not available you may search outside our borders and deal with foreign countries. But if you can, do us the favor of keeping as much of our economy within our own borders.

Media outlets who brings news stories, are to keep the people/citizens updated on important topics. Such as which decisions are to be voted for, general warnings and general news. However news of crimes, war and other highly negative news are banned from tv media and newspapers. If you want those news, you will have to google them. We want our citizens to think positive and be informed about important topics. The fact that someone has lost a family member to a murderer does not concern you.









I think that is all for now. It could be a good world. Anyone else with any idea as to how to fix this world?

I agree. I might add on the criminal part, violent offenders should be dealt with punitively, but all others should be dealt with compassionately. All of the possible fixes you outlined can not occur in a system where violent individuals walk free. I do think many of these violent people can learn to not be so violent, but only punitive measures deter them. If they can strike other people, and get a slap on the wrist they will.

Yeah, a world in which the government determines what I may or may not believe in; that sounds oh so wonderful and free.

How draconian of you.

You may want to re-think your idea, the vast majority of the population of this planet believes in some form of religion/spirituality/deity of one kind or another, outlawing it isn't going to be so easily done, nor should it be.

By the way, try putting yourself into the shoes of the people you apparently have no problem persecuting and try to imagine that utopia of yours with a law that universally bans atheism, and decide if it's such a lovely idea.

Sorry, you lost me at step 2. That's where I stopped reading. Your heart's in the right place, but banning religion is simply unacceptable. The rest of your plan up until that point pretty much sucked as well. Just my humble opinion of course.

What does this fix? Not to say the world isn't flawed it is in my experience.

Besides, you want peoples opinion yet you shove down your own opinion on people.

How to fix the world? Simple, make it illegal to charge anything what so ever, in any way, for food, energy use, fuels, healthcare, water, housing, simple clothing or for the function of government. They say that freedom isnt free. I say that freedom is not freedom UNLESS it is free.

Free the world from the costs associated with living, and everything will improve immediately. That way only luxuries come with costs attached to them.

How I would fix the world. . . .

1. Ban bicycle pants.
2. Create a law that stated if politicians/religious leaders start wars, then they HAVE to be in the front lines.
3. Make bacon the planetary food of choice.
4. Bring back Firefly to television.
5. Create a law that would move the decimal point of all medical bills two digits to the left.
6. Send the cast and crew of Honey Boo-boo to Mars.
7. Make "Casual Friday" Global.
8. Create a law allowing anyone the ability and freedom to bitch-slap politicians.
9. Did I mention bacon?
10. Bacon.

Step 1 Build a large rocket
step 2 Everyone gets a one way ticket
step 3 To infinity and beyond

Electricity, water, etc. etc. etc. are payed for and supplied with the 35% of your income that you give to the state.

Food you either buy with the money you make, or is given to you aslong as you put in the 7 hours a day (monday to friday) in anyway you can to help society. IE.

Any criminal action aside from extremes such as murder and rape for examples. Are to be looked at individually. Theres a difference between a guy knocking out another person for the fun of it. And someone getting a bit too drunk and getting in a fight.

I have seen plenty of examples of guys with a violent past who got the help they needed to make better choices (in most cases, all they needed was a steady job that they liked). It all depends on the person. I dont like that rules are black and white, and that situation and context is not taken into consideration. I think they should. It is costly and time consuming yes. But it will help a buttload of people instead of sending them to jail and let them continue on the same path the minute they get out, because they were not given the tools and help needed to see a better way.

Medical bills should not exist, that should be taken care of by the state with the 35% of your income. Like in Sweden.

But thats not freedom. Thats servitude, sublimating yourself for some ideal which will be administrated by people you dont trust, and who havent your best interests at heart. Freedom, MUST be free, in order to be freedom at all.

If there is going to be a percentage cost for running a society, it ought to be less than a single percentage TOTAL of an individuals earnings per year. Thats everything from the basics for life, right up to garbage collection and defense. We could make defense work out well by making national security the business of every citizen, not a select few tamed psychopaths with three passports each and no morality what so ever.

Proper freedom comes with a responsibility to maintain it after all. Same goes for policing. Its EVERYONES job to take on the scum, not just the variously inept and sometimes jackbooted nutters who currently get the job, only one in four of whom are any good at the job in the first place. Furthermore, in terms of politics, the government will no longer be administrated by blokes who have nothing in common with the majority. Leaders will be relegated to mere figureheads, whose only job is to parrot the word of the PEOPLE. The word of the people will be handed down by way of nation wide voting on anything more important than changes to local rubbish collection, collected via the internet in the case of those who have it, and for those who do not, by roving electoral volunteers with tablets for people to vote with, every week.

No war without national consultation, no new powers for the EU without national consultation, no changes without the permission of the people what so ever. Total ownership and power over the state, by the majority vote, and the majority vote alone. No pandering to big business, no winning parties in elections, no elections any more. Just the will of the people from now till the stars fall from the sky, and the sun consumes the Earth in fire. THATS freedom of the people from those who have controlled them for generations.

Don't worry. The festering boil on Mother Nature's backside is about to pop.

Like all purging of toxins, it will be an ugly, noxious, mess for a time, but when she finishes shaking off the bugs, she will be just fine.
