Jigger, im about to make your quality of life markedly better by telling you this:

Applewood smoke was made for pork. 100% absolutely. It has a slight mustard smell to it, and the flavor is deeeeeeee-vine.

I love me some oak, mesquite, and pecan. BUt applewood with pork is the cats meow. A few others:

Sausage - always use oak, no matter what kind it is
Chicken - Mesquite
Beef - oak or hickory


Remember: smoke is a flavoring, too!

Ham, in my neck of the woods, gets a mix of cherry, apple and sassafras. I like applewood smoked bacon.

After I made the above post in this thread, my Australian Pheonix friend made a quip in the Avatar Creations thread. SO Zarni threw it together for me.

I don't often wear an avi made by someone else. But when i do, it is over 9000.
