more recent major events?

As I'm new the study/topic of alien and UFOS I have only just started reading.

Most major event like roswell and Randelshem happened decades ago.

Curious if there is any modren or more recent major events such as these?

If not, why do you this is, coincidence or they have stopped visiting?

Suggested reading: "UFOs and the National Security State" by Richard Dolan. Both volumes (1941-1973 and 1973-1991). Roswell is the tip of the iceberg.

In 1966 in a town called Westall in Victoria Australia, there was a bizarre incident which occurred involving UFO's. I had never heard of it until last year, but I live 1000 km's away in Sydney.
