Maybe because the UFO phenomena is linked to cattle mutilation and there have been reports of mutilated cattle which has been drained off blood. You know, it´s one of those topics that needs to be discussed within a "what if" paradigm. Do remember that ATS is also about speculation and conspiracy. Just sayin offering a possible connection although it is a "fringe" one :-)

To the OP, i find the topic interesting although i do not really have anything of relevance to add. I have noted that actually quite a lot of people seem to be open to the possibility of blood having other functions than beeing a carrier of oxygen and nutritions. Some people even believe that it ties the soul to the body. I´m quite sure interesting views can be found in religious texts.
