Mr. Pope, first welcome to ATS.

Secondly, I have not seen this asked yet.

I was wondering what you might rate the command structure, or government's interest overall in UFO investigations? Were their eyes, and attention on you a lot; or were you left to you own devices? Say maybe rate government's interest on a scale of 1 to 10... Appreciate any and all answers.

While I'm aware of the Wow Signal, I don't think it's something I came across in the course of my MoD work, so I think all I've seen on this is material in open source literature.

Thanks Nick, I'd love to know your thoughts on the footage they show as it would seem to be the "lost tape" Jenny Randles was looking for and couldn't find hair nor hide of. The footage does genuinely seem to be of a Blue Streak and I'm guessing the source, should it be the real article, has to be someone within the MOD.

Mr. Pope,

As many are aware many Top Secret projects go onto become successful business endeavors within the civilian sector.

Can you comment or opine on where the next tech breakthrough will be within the civilian sector without getting into trouble?

Thank you for you time.

I don't know if this has been asked yet but do you think that if these ufos are under the control of an alien race that they have an agenda that involves people or they are just observing life on earth and human civilization.

With apologies, I'm going to have to decline the invitation to comment on NSA surveillance issues, the Snowden affair, etc.

Thank you for the reply Mister Pope, I truly think that says a lot about the situation.

In my opinion some of the most interesting and compelling sightings in the last 10 years include the 2006 sightings from Chicago O'Hare Airport, pilot Ray Bowyer's 2007 sighting near the Channel Islands ,and the 2008 sightings from Stephenville, Texas.

I was wondering if you knew anything about the Aurora project (possibly), when I was younger and living near an air force base, I definitely saw some flying triangles. One of them was able to hover about 30 feet above the ground and moved pretty slowly, it came to check us out because we signaled it with a flashlight.

During the same sighting, there were these maneuverable lights in the sky that were able to light up in a bright fashion and jet across about 130 degrees of the sky in around 1.2 seconds.

Thanks.

I witnessed a craft flying at a very low level in 2002 that was roughly tear drop shaped and had the most peculiar lighting array. The lights on the underbelly were large domes that seemed to be gaseous in nature (3 orange and one white) and very bright. The back of the craft seemed to be where the propulsion was and it burned white. It was quick and quiet. The next morning, I reported the incident to the closest USAFB as, regardless of whether it was an experimental craft or something alien, I figured they should probably know that it buzzed my home (and if the former, reprimand the pilot). The incident has always troubled me because of those dome lights (there were also no navigation lights). Have you encountered or investigated any other reports that had similar lighting systems?

Thank you in advance.

Welcome to Abovetopsecret and thank you for your time.

Q1: What for you is the government obligations in face of apparent and documented violation of airspace sovereignty, risk to aviation and possible military spying linked to the UFO phenomena ? (British reports include personal injuries, but death and misery, especially mental anguish and social shame are also often the result of the phenomena).

Q2: What is you opinion in regards to normalcy and acceptance that a private organization to be given control over public reporting of UFO related observations and its processing, like presently it occurs in the US with Bigelow Aerospace ?

Q3: Most (but not all ) of the nations opening up the UFO governmental information to the public seem to be doing so as an continual process of dismissal of the issue. Taking in consideration in the context of the previous questions, Why in your opinion nothing has really changed in most governments official position since General Samford's UFO press conference Pentagon, July 29, 1952 (youtube video) and the closing of Project Blue Book (that today is understood to have been more a public gesture of showing that something was being done without doing any proper, or competent work on it) ? Since you have an insider experience why do you think states so blatantly fail to perform (even in a criminal dereliction of duty) their function in this context (or at least make it public, Colares UFO flap) ?

Q4: To end and since we are on ATS I would pick one of my favorite conspiracies the US Maned Missions to the Moon and ask if you are aware of the valid criticism made to the program and the inconsistencies that exist (best summarized and presented by Jarrah White (videos @ youtube). Do you believe the official story (history) ?

Again thanks for your time. I hope that I'm not asking something that is already been asked (hope that the moderation would take care of it). I tried to cram it to a few questions and provide context for clarity.

Mr. Pope, I have two quick questions

1.- During your investigations and "final briefing" to the government, would you say there is a credible threat to global or national security in regards to the UFO phenomena?

2.- Has there ever been a case, to your knowledge, where any unidentifiable (possibly alien origin) bodies have been recovered?

Thanks!

Despite having investigated hundreds of sightings reported by other people, I'm disappointed to say that I've never seen anything strange myself.

Dear Mr. Pope,

What is your opinion on the Belgian UFO flap that occurred in 1989 - 1990?

Best regards,

RAF

Hello sir,
First of all allow me to say, welcome to our crazy little nook in the wall,
And thank you for all that you do.

I have watching and listing this subject for many years now and have enjoyed your talks on coast many times.
Many of us have come to the conclusion that something very big is about to happen that will show the rest of the world that something really is going on above our heads and probably on the ground around us as well.

My question is do you feel that major events are about to unfold, and what do you think they will consist of?

Mr. Pope --

Do you feel that this could partly be due to the fact that you are less likely than many other people to misidentify something mundane as being a UFO (such as, for example, a distant plane with a landing light on, flying towards the observer, which would give it the appearance of a single bright light hovering)?

Question – in your tenure at MoD what grade were you? Were you really acting Deputy Director, or just an administrative grade filling out forms?

Nick --- Do you have any possible explanations as to why a small percentage of very large [jumbo jet airliner size] fiery plasma foofighter sightings by the British, Russian, U.S. defense department's and civilian witnesses --- might have tie's to intelligent extraterrestrial organizations with physical biological entities involved?

Thanks,

Erno

YouTube (and the internet more generally) has both helped and hindered ufology. On the plus side, it's now much easier to share information, so we have more data, especially in terms of photos and videos. On the other hand, this has encouraged faking. While governments and other specialists generally have expertise and resources (e.g. in terms of imagery analysis) to spot fakes, the majority of the media and the public don't.

Hi Nick, great to see you here. I saw you in Mcminnville Oregon a couple of months ago at UFO Fest, very cool to see you live scarfing pizza and drinking beer...oh yeah and talking about ufos and stuff

I want to ask you if you were privy to info regarding drones being produced by the MOD like the Taranis. I would have to imagine that any citizen who has seen a sci-fi movie would confuse the Taranis with a alien piloted UFO, almost seems like the Taranis was developed with a "sci-fi" design in mind, I am wondering if the MOD used the publics interest in UFO's to its advantage, i.e. claiming some known military craft were ufos. Thanks for any response and keep on not endorsing "false flag events" and accepting money from video game makers that put your credibility on the line.....
