The government isn't telling us everything.

Do I have to supply proof of this Everyone seems to think this is true, including the military personal and the congressmen.

Yeah. It is a joke. The joke is on the government, but it ain't funny. They have lied to us for so long about many things that no one believes them. The over half-a-century-old lie about the UFO phenomena is one major point that people first learned to disbelieve, especially, when they have had personal experiences or knows someone that did.

Add to that, more cerebral type of thinking in these days where people start looking beyond earthly governments and wonder how more advanced civilizations might have evolved. Basically, the growing concept is: "Is Earth's way of doing business good enough or right enough?"
