BUT the world is in a constant state of change( regression/backwards movement is also change).
I agree with you it's just a matter of applying that which is within us for the positive and mutual benefit for all in the small actions, thoughts and words.
However it is not clear why you have listed questions on "what are your fears":
What are your fears?
1.) Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
We have nature within us
2.) Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.
This is the same as # 1) its over controlling other people we are diverse you cannot improve diversity.
3.) Unite humanity with a living new language.
A new language does not do anything to improve diversity.
4.) Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.
What is ruling passion mean? Why keep traditions they oppose change. You want to control faith yet that sounds like a "dictator like" idea.
5.) Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
These are already in place so there is nothing to change.
6.) Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
We have one.
7.) Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
Do you decide which laws and officials are useless and how do you do this.
8.) Balance personal rights with social duties.
How?
9.) Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
We already prize beauty, truth and love but one cannot force others to.
10.) Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.
Nature?
These are maybe things you want as a person but it is not your place to force your fears on others and call it "growth".These are a list of your desires not your fears.
How about you and I BE what we want the world to be. Be the light you want to see and stop worrying about controlling others, making rules or resisting change.

I am curious what you guys really think about the Georgia Guidestones?

They really interested me, I even visited them in the 90's after a trip Athens, GA. I was surprised to see graffiti on them. It wasn't even really related to the stones, more "Jimmy Loves Sally", "Grad 93'" sort of thing.

After the years and some research into the stones, I think PERHAPS that "R.C. Christian" may have just been either a wealthy prankster, or the whole project was a personal belief.

I am not saying I am certain, but after looking into it, and doing a whole bunch of research, I think it is POSSIBLE this guy is just screwing with people.

Part of why I thin it is possible, is because I could see myself doing the same sort of thing. Not so bloody gloomy and serious, but something to get people talking for years trying to figure it out. I don't know what this confession says about me, but it tells me what I am saying is possible.

What do you guys think?

The Georgia Guidestones are the work of pure evil. The road to hell is paved with seemingly good intentions like we see on the guidestones.

Notice that the guidestones do not ever mention or directly speak about morality, virtue, or truth.

Instead, it's a eugenic/fascist/marxist/totalitarian/Orwellian wet dream speaking in generalized terms for the elite to use as they see fit; 'maintain' 'guide' 'protect' 'unite' 'rule' humanity.

We don't need ridiculous, utopian maxims carved in stone to tell us unwashed masses how to behave. Also notice that, surprise, surprise, there is no mention of exactly who will be the ones doing the 'maintaining, guiding, and protecting' that is spoken of, nevermind how it will be achieved.

What we need is pure unabashed freedom (picture the exact opposite of where the US is currently heading) and widespread understanding of objective truth and universally preferable behavior.

The biggest institutions in the world scoff at morality and live by the code of 'Do as I say, not as I do'. If the collective consciousness started to turn and a critical mass were to withdraw and stop feeding these violent institutions, we wouldn't even need any silly, yet dangerous, guidestones in the first place.

A free society can only arise organically as a naturally outgrowth of a people who understand and abide by basic principles of morality, truth, and non-aggression. It will NEVER be achieved by top down mandates instituted by a select few in power as suggested by the guidestones.

Countless philosophers have long since pinpointed the exact solutions to the problems that the Guidestones allude to. The solutions DO NOT have anything to do with
1) setting a quota for the amount of human beings to be allowed to live on earth
2) a world court (that sounds fun!) to preside over disagreements
3) somebody (the guidestones of course don't mention who this would be) to 'guide' and 'maintain' humanity in the areas of reproduction and population.
etc. etc.

The solutions lie mainly in the areas of raising our children better, keeping the family unit intact, and dissolving the Institution of Violence and Coercion also known as The State. No more infringing on another man's inherent freedoms in the name of the state or some nightmarish Utopian vision dreamt up by the most psychopathic and power addicted who have nothing but contempt for the rest.

The Guidestones have become a subject of interest for conspiracy theorists. One of them, an activist named Mark Dice, demanded that the Guidestones "be smashed into a million pieces, and then the rubble used for a construction project",[9] claiming that the Guidestones are of "a deep Satanic origin", and that R. C. Christian belongs to "aLuciferian secret society" related to the New World Order.[2] At the unveiling of the monument, a local minister proclaimed that he believed the monument was "for sun worshipers, for cult worship and for devil worship".[6]Radio host and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, in his 2008 documentary Endgame: Elite's Blueprint For Global Enslavement, said that "the message of the mysterious Georgia Guidestones, purportedly built by representatives of a secret society called the Rosicrucian Order or Rosicrucians, which call for a global religion, world courts, and for population levels to be maintained at around 500 million, over a 6.5 billion reduction from current levels. The stones imply that humans are a cancer upon the earth and should be culled in order to maintain balance with nature."[10]

I see that these stones are been questioned a long time ago.. so why should I take this so serious. . Are there signs that says this is happening?

Have you ever thought that a one world government might be a good thing? In science fiction, they have alien races because the planets are united enough for space travel.

I have! "United we stand, divided we fall" why should there always be fighting and conflict, seems they're just trying to sell it more and more which brings me to another great quote by a great musician "Peace sells but who's buying..", just like cancer, if you cured cancer today you would be dead tonight and most of the medical industry and big pharma would be dead and jobless tomorrow, what would inevitably happen to the economy then? The US has been at war for 20+ years now, that is big $$$, it's all part of the division to prosper because of reliance on a monetary system, fossil fuels and a huge government and military complex!

Oh,in fiction lots of things are good idea. Its the reality that is the problem.
One world government will be corrupted to the core, even more then national governments ,EU or UN. It will also be extremely inefficient - both things due to inflated bureaucracy needed to govern that leviathan.
It will also need to be extremely oppressive since lots of people and nations would not like to join in or stay in due to different moral and cultural values.
It will not have to compete with other nations for the hearts and minds of its own citizens - since there will be no other nations. So it will be able to use harsher methods in maintaining order.
If you speak about science fiction, 1984 is closer to what it will eventually look like (without external conflicts) then ,say , Star Trek.

Who hasn't seen these by now, this all sounds so lovely, that is until you begin to realize that you, your friends, your family, your children or grand children are going to be part of that 7.5 billion people whom will be murdered because you and yours didn't meet the "STANDARD", and who gets to make the "RULES" for entry? I'm sure that new "world" will need at least a "few" slaves to harvest and gather food for that "Brave New World". Enjoy your new found slavery, if you should be fortunate enough to be left alive. Personally, I have fought for "FREEDOM AND LIBERTY" while in the Marine Corps, and I would do it again. We have the GOD given right to live as free men and women. No one could ever take that right from me or my family. I will never surrender so long as I have the means to fight, and so long as I have breath in my lungs I have that means. Enjoy your slavery, or death if your lucky.

What are your fears?

These 'comandments' make me uncomfortable for now:

1) Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
2.) Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.
3.) Unite humanity with a living new language.
4.) Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.
8.) Balance personal rights with social duties
9.) Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
10.) Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.

The latter are alright in my opinion:

5.) Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
6.) Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
7.) Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
.
If these 'Georgia Guidestones' do exist, 500,000,000 appears to have the potential for genocide. I would imagine it would take the form of a major war, along with strict laws regarding the right to bear children, not unlike China. Personal rights and social duties have no difference to me. To tell someone to not be like a self replicating virus is degrading to any form of amnesty, and to prize anything at all has nothing to do with the infinite

Nice Slayer.

We either work together for the common good, as individuals, and as a species.

OR...

We let the minority who already work together, for their own common good, have it all their way.

Either way, change comes.

I understand your point on perspective Slayer, it is difficult to wrap your head around huge ordeals and keep the greater good in mind. But you're just pointing out the Georgia Guidestone commandments and asking our fears?

How did this make it to top member topics? I like your threads about history much better.

Those guides written on those flimsy stones whether advice for a devastated humanity, or an agenda for those with vision and power, represent a reality that is a far way from that of today. And they are not likely to be relevant with out a great deal of transitional woe.

I guess what you have to ask yourself is, do these suggestions seem correct?

That's right, just an effort to consolidate corruption.

Maybe you're testing the power of suggestion? Not too sure of the motive to be honest.

Occam's Razor might suggest that this just a half tailed thread.

Almost everyone here knows about the Georgia Guidestones and has seen a thread about them here. If they havn't, well those few people will really enjoy this thread. The OP has been around a while (5 years is it?) and I am sure he has seen several similar threads come and go.

I hate to bring negativity in to things but I have to ask, what's new? You thought about the Guidestones, you felt a change, and you listed what they said.

So... what? The point? I don't get it?

Here are some that ... somehow got overlooked.

It's just a matter of applying that which is in us for the positive and mutual benefit for all even in the small actions which like a snow ball rolling downhill will eventually lead to tremendous differences and growth.

I cannot see this ever happening. Where I work, I always do one extra step to make sure the next person in line has it a little easier, I've always been like that. Yet everyone before me and after me only does the bare minimum of what must be done. If we all did just one small extra thing, life would be so much easier, but too many of us just want to do the bare minimum.

Lastly, 7 billion minus 500 million is A LOT of lost souls, who decides who stays and who goes? That's why I have always thought the Georgia guidestones should be destroyed
