He's been released from prison & put under house arrest.

www.nytimes.com...

CAIRO — Egypt’s military-appointed government ordered former President Hosni Mubarak transferred from prison to house arrest late Wednesday after a court said he could no longer legally be held behind bars.

He will stand a retrial this May for the deaths of protesters from 2011.

So the Muslim Brotherhood is out, their leaders & supporters are being arrested while this man is being released. Screw the Bro-hood but what the hell is going on in Egypt?

I posted this news yesterday in a thread, I came to the same conclusion as you. WTH is going on?

My fear is that the military cut a deal with Mubarak, don't forget they aided them all those years...

Looks like someone in the Egyptian justice system just had a massive payday.

I'm not quite clear on what Mubarak DID to get deposed and nearly killed anyway? Was it his crime of maintaining peace with neighbors for what was going on 30 years? Perhaps he was in no way willing to play ball on the fall and destruction of Libya and the murder of it's leader in the street?

I know...he's an evil troll..many will say. How though. Specifically, how? What did he DO which the MB did not do or do more of? I'm honestly asking ..because I REALLY don't know the answer on it. Egypt just seemed to be next in numerical line to be overthrown and fall..and so it was and did. Just as the program called for.....until recently when the citizens said hell no.

As odd as it is that he's being released during these times I don't think he's gonna be allowed to step foot near any govt building unless its a courthouse. The Egyptian people will not tolerate it so I'm not worries about this puppet returning to some sort of power, but I just find it odd he's being released during all this turmoil.

I'm really not trying to be a smarta** here, but he was not technically a dictator. We need to realize the Egyptian people elected him, showing they don't really know what they truly want yet. This creates a dangerous vacuum which will allow evil people to take advantage of them again and again.

It's the people that i'm afraid of, at this point the people "thought" they had the support of the new formed temporary government and more importantly the militairy's support.

And now this must feel like a slap in the face.
