No trying to change my opinion through intelligent debate. No pointing out the holes in my beliefs. I’m just a racist.

So I guess the gauntlet has been thrown down. Do I pick it up and continue as before or do I just refuse to think for myself and buy into others mindsets?

Hell, I have to be me. I’m picking that gauntlet up.

I use to work with a guy who was labeled as a bigot I asked him one day if it was true and he said yes but he was a bigot to all peoples no matter what ethnic group they belonged to. He found fault in all people.

Getting called a racist ?

Just means you won an argument because they couldn't refute the argument that was presented to them, and they stooped to personal attacks.

That is game, set, and match my friend.

They are my OPINIONS, I am not racist as I hate them all equally.

Now, I'm a white fella with a Maori bloodline, married to an Asian and one of my best mates is aboriginal.

Put that in your pipe and SMOKE IT all you who pull the racist card of convenience!!

I call it how I see it - skin colour means truck all to any sane person.

I think everyone is missing the point, and what I am going to say will undoubtedly upset some people, but that's because you are not thinking, you are reacting in the way you've been trained to respond.

You need to STOP and THINK.

You feel upset because you've been called a racist and you're adamant you're not a racist. This means that you have been sucked into this way of thinking.

What you should be thinking is this:

"Suppose I've been called a racist and suppose I am a racist - SO - WHAT?"

There is so much focus on non-issues that we can't even determine what is and isn't important anymore.

Someone doesn't like black people, or white people, or Chinese people, or whatever, then there isn't a lot you can do about it, but the idea of castigating them, or in the UK prosecuting them is ridiculous.

What next, prosecute men who prefer blonds over redheads, or people who prefer vanilla to strawberry icecream.

You have all been conned into worrying about "rights" and this version of social equality that has been forced onto you is WRONG, but you've been spoon fed it for so long you can't think of anything else.

Please watch this video (and watch ALL of it and pay attention) about the way a society is destabilised and if you're over 35 you'll spot how our society has changed - this guy in this video died in 1993 (it was filmed in 1983) so he hasn't watched how society has changed and moulded his story around that, he said all of this stuff BEFORE we got to this ridiculous state.

I was born in South Africa I've seen true racism . I personally feel that true racism is just about gone from society. As in hating someone purely on the colour of their skin or perhaps cultures. The only ones left are the oldies or secluded.
I get called racist just because I was born there but I take no offence . I just need to look who is calling me it to know they have no clue and use the race card to 'big themselves up'
I can hate or loathe whomever I chose but I do so because of who they are and not what they look like. I know this for myself and that's all that matters.
If you know you are not racist why care what others think?

Gotta love an equal opportunity hater. They always have the best jokes. Seriously though...

Funny isn't it ...how selective racism is so much more socially unacceptable than general misanthropy?

Some people just see the glass half empty. Sounds like this guy has been mislabeled as well. Seems more like cynicism than bigotry. He sees all of Humanity as a failure. His coworkers have done the very thing for which racists are shunned.

People of mixed heritage can be racist. People can be racist against their own ethnicity. So what does that say about people?

TDawg... the title says it all man. If you were a dyed-in-the-wool hater, you would care. You would care a lot. A consciously supremacist individual doesn't guess about it. They know for sure.

Though, not giving a damn about certain things is what life is all about. Race is probably one of them.

I understand the OP. Here in Portugal something like this happens:

- We are not given any social support if we have more than X in property or in bank or if our family members have. It doesn't matter that you live on the street. If you are a white or black person, the same faith waits you.
- If you are a gipsy you are given lots of money to, basicly, do nothing with it. I've seen families being removed from social support because they made 20 euros more than the minimum but some of these families get 1000 euros/month to steal the local market and sell counterfeit devices and clothes. It's amazing

If i express my concern regarding this I'm labelled racist.

Watch the Bezmenov video I posted above and all will become clear. You can also download his books for free.

There is a pattern, extreme leniency from the government for "minority" groups and criminals, overly generous benefit systems that reward the lazy and feckless and punish the workers, distrust of the police & justice through blatant and obvious misuse of the law (like in England - De Menezes, Ian Tomlinson, Mark Duggan), "right on" education - no winners or losers in sporting events "everyone is equal" though clearly this is not true, this "equality" being borne out through the oppression of the fit, healthy, and intellectual, and rising status of the weak, unhealthy, and dumb, the increasing grades in exams of the young, even though they are as thick as 2 short planks - they believe they "know more" than the "oldies" because of their "better grades" but are too uneducated to see the truth that their exams are simple (their youth precludes the ability to compare the past education system with the current one) - they all go to university, rack up debts, then won't take jobs stacking shelves because they are "too intelligent" or "too qualified" for these jobs, the "rights" culture "I am entitled to more even if I contribute nothing" because it's my "rights" etc.

Here is my prediction for the UK based on all of the last 30 years of social manipulation, and I am 100% CERTAIN it will come to pass, so please remember it and then you can come back to it again and hail me as a visionary (it will almost certainly be the blueprint for other European countries too, so we'll see you on the other side).

I envisage 2 scenarios, one may occur, or the other, or both, they may run concurrently or in sequence, but trust me this is coming:

SCENARIO 1:

1) A great catastrophe occurs, probably a terrorist event from some "minority" or "religious" group, it will be so sever and so painful that it will galvanise the nation. For this reason it will probably involve the wholesale slaughter of children, since nothing would outrage a society more than the slaughter of innocents. Steps must be taken to stamp this out and take control, maybe even things like curfews and patrols from armed Police and the Army on the streets (the state is protecting you),
2) Then (or maybe even the above will be by this group) white ordinary English people will commit some other "terrorist" attrocity, and steps must be taken to stamp this out and take control, maybe even things like curfews and patrols from armed Police and the Army on the streets (the state is protecting you). So now we even need protecting from ourselves.

Our liberties will therby be taken from us for our own protection.

SCENARIO 2 (The End Game):

Backdrop: In the UK now we have millions of people who have made the "career" choice to live off benefits, and our government is so soft that they are allowed to simply say "I have a bad back (or whatever) and can't work anymore" and they get a house, disability payments, and a host of other benefits, meaning they stay at home all day doing nothing and are better off than the people who work.

I know a family who do this they have about 6 kids, all to different fathers, they all have something wrong with them "ADHD" or whatever other "right on" diseases are rewarded by benefits, and these scroungers take 2 holidays per year on Caribbean cruises!

Also you have workers who pay so much in taxes now, but it's okay because the government gives them "working family tax credits" - so by law you pay huge taxes from one hand, and the state generously gives you some benefits (from your own money) with the other, and times are so hard they need them to survive.

So:

1) Some great economic crisis occurs, the economy is on the brink of collapse.
2) Govt says "2 options - a) we stand alone and you lose all benefits, out on the street, lose your homes, etc. b) We join Europe, give away self determination, nationality (become European citizens), lose monarchy, lose British law, currency, etc"

With so many people dependent on the state we join Europe. Then the "right ons", liberals, "rights" advocates all disappear and are shot or locked away forever.

This is the game - a big socialist "One World Government" and we're almost there.

I usually just laugh at them and walk away...sometimes commenting that they have lost the debate as Neo says earlier or use your remark.

But more often than not I ask them "What does NASCAR have to do with this?"

But it is really getting on my last nerve lately for some reason. I hear it all the time, in conversations, TV, Radio etc. To me it just shows ignorance on the part of the accuser and I cannot stand ignorant people.

The point is not that you are racist. The point is that you are making a problem out of it. If you are racist and you see a Chinese, a Mexican, or a black person walking around and you silently avoid them because you don't like their ethnicity, you are racist...but you are not causing a problem. If you sit next to one on the bus because you have no choice, and you take out a book or listen to your music so you don't have to look at or talk to them...you are racist, but you are not causing a problem. If someone of a different ethnicity that you dislike attempts to engage with you and you politely inform them that you don't wish to offend them but you don't particularly care for their culture and would prefer to be left alone, you are racist...but you are not causing a problem. In fact, if you just made up some bullcrap excuse not to engage with them, any excuse at all, because you prefer not to socialize with their ethnicity...you are racist....

BUT YOU ARE NOT CAUSING A PROBLEM. And that, I think, is the most important part of racism. When people are racist and insist that their racism should have priority over the rights of those whom they are discriminating against. Because that's when it becomes discrimination. Do not infringe on their rights, and you are free to be racist all you want. Just keep your racism to yourself.

My two cents for whatever its worth.

I didn't fully understand your 'gauntlet symbolism', but I know what you are talking about otherwise.

Try voicing an opinion that goes against anything any woman has ever done, and you will be immediately labeled not only misogynist, but a loser, someone who can't get laid, someone who is just bitter, someone who lives with their mom, someone who hates women, uneducated, insane, and so on.

You can never tell the truth in this world without people trying to label you all kinds of things and basically shame you back to compliance and comformism. There are SO many taboo topics, especially nowadays, that it makes one's head spin (figuratively speaking).

Because the truth is something anyone with power doesn't want to hear, or people to know.

How many of 'first world people' really want to know how many children are injured, hurt, or have died in the process of bringing them their neat and shiny sneakers or their gloriously exploding new year's fireworks? No one wants to hear that - people rather 'kill' the messenger!

How many kings really want to hear that basically everything they do and say hurts the peons and serfs, and that their power might be undeserved, and a manifestation of great injustice?

Besides, when you think something is wrong with the messenger, he's perhaps a retard or in psychiatric medication, you don't have to take his message seriously. It's much easier to think that someone who hurt you with their truth (or otherwise) is a jerk, than to think that he/she is a reasonable, well-balanced, wise and intelligent human being who has done nothing wrong.

What I am saying is that the problem goes deeper than just the 'race'-card. And it is much more serious than just some flimsy accusations of racism - that's actually so common these days that I wouldn't even hear it, unless there's some kind of physical threat involved.

There are just SO many other cards, SO many privileged people who don't want to give up their victim-status and power. So although YOU never hurt anyone or enslaved anyone, and would never do such a thing, you have to feel GUILT, because some people, who happened to have similar skin tone as you, did something like that. I mean, isn't it quite racistic to accuse someone of being evil or demanding that they have to feel guilty based on their skin color?

If I accused an individual whose body has a darker skin-tone than mine, of oppression, because someone with similar skin tone did something evil, that accused individual would KNOW I am being incredibly racistic and illogical, and thus wrong in all possible levels!

But if the skin tones are reversed, suddenly the 'racism' disappears.. suddenly, the accuser is NOT a racist, and even if he/she was, no one would care.

We are so far from equality, (which is paramount between human beings) and the TRUE victims of the oppression are shamed for speaking out, while the privileged ones that enjoy the fruits of the oppression are constantly claiming to be 'victims' (they have an official 'victim-status' that gives them power and sympathy), that it's almost impossible to accept as the truth. Even I sometimes wonder whether it was all just a nightmare / hallucination / psychosis or some other similar experience, and whether things are actually all right..

The deeper you go, the more frustrating it becomes. Truth is shunned almost everywhere.. no one wants to touch it, no one wants to have anything to do with it, and those that dare speak it, are mercilessly bombarded with the most hateful labels that exist, and many times, with more drastic weapons as well.

This is a horrible world that has lots of people masquerading it as a 'good world' .. try even mentioning third world problems in a casual conversation, and see the reactions - unless you are in a company where it's common to speak of these things, you will get quite uncomfortable and odd looks, and the conversation usually stops right then and there.

On this planet, the accepted, "normal" topics are: TV shows, "news", movies, celebrities, sports, cars, gadgets, shoes, handbags, clothes, and relationships (preferrably other people's that you have no business to know). The popular ones also include weather, ailments, monetary issues, bad service, and how all men are such pigs, especially the white, heterosexual men.

If you are going to speak the truth, be prepared to have LOTS more nasty cards thrown your way for the rest of your incarnation.

So the only way to NOT be a racist is to always like EVERYONE?

Look, people have their preferences. Not everyone can always like everyone.

You don't even seem to know what 'racism' really means.

To be a racist, you have to a) HATE a group of people based on their 'racial qualities' .. just hating someone's culture, looks or smell, doesn't make you a racist. You would have to hate the souls as well, that inhabit the bodies. b) THINK they are "worth less" than other human beings. If you think they are of equal worth, you are not a racist. And c) WISH and SUPPORT their total extermination, genocide, or whatever it has to be.

If you simply "dislike" someone's "ethnicity", that's like a sexual preference - first of all, you can't necessarily control it (can you control what foods you like or hate?), second of all, a certain group MAY have a reputation and history in your living area that makes it very likely that they might be problematic human beings in general, and in such a situation it is probably wiser to go with the stereotype until you know them more intimately. I wouldn't call it racistic at all. There is no HATE involved, just caution, perhaps.

Is it racistic if you have nothing against the soul, but their bodily features do not match your ideas of magnificent beauty and aromatic paradise? Is it racistic, if a certain group of people always seem to behave in a certain, obnoxious way, and you try to ignore individuals belonging to that group because you rather just not go through any hassle?

No, it's not racistic, because there is no "they are worth less than me"-thinking involved, it's not racistic, because there is no wish for their complete extermination involved.

Stereotypes are born for a reason - for example, there is lots of reason to expect that a young, japanese man, who has never travelled abroad, will generally speaking be a bit more feminine than the usual man from other countries/cultures, and that they will be more 'apologetic', and act in a more 'seemingly respectful' manner towards people they perceive as 'superiors'.

It is a stereotype, and surely it doesn't fit all young, japanese men, but I bet if you study 100 random japanese young men, you will see this behaviour and attitude at least in over 90 of them.

Expecting a young, japanese man to have these attitudes and behaviours (and also most likely a sort of condescending attitude towards 'gaijins'), is not racism - it's only sensible and logical. There is no HATE involved, and so on.

Lighter-skinned people shouldn't feel "white guilt" for something THEY have not done. If someone with similar shoes than what I wear has done some horrible things twenty years ago, is it logical for me to feel guilty about it? No, that would be not only illogical and insane, it would be a pretty weird and improper accusation.

People have their preferences, they have their likes and repulsions, but if there is no actual HATE and "less worth"-attitude involved, together with wish for extermination (or genocide), then it's not racism.

Are you racistic if you prefer asian women over white women or vice versa? Are you racistic if you like latina women sexually? No one can always like everyone in every possible way. And stereotypes are born for a reason. If you have lots of negative experiences with a certain group of people, it's only natural to be more cautious when meeting them or passing them on a street. It's not racism, there's no hate.

Get over yourself and your hypocrisy.. and try to see the big picture. Let human beings be human, don't force them into something they are naturally not, like "politically-correct robots" that praise the minorities and women although they haven't necessarily deserved that praise.

Someone always mentions ".. and he doesn't respect women", when they talk about men. You hear this a lot on TV and movies, for example. But respect has to be earned. Certain groups of people have behaved in such a way that they have earned their respect. Certain other groups of people have behaved in such a way that they have earned disrespect or contempt. Things are not equal, and no one can be liked by everyone - also, pretty much no one can like everyone equally.

Let people have their preferences, and stop calling it racism. And take into account that people might have -good- reasons to avoiding people of certain culture (where the culture encourages hostile and attacking behaviour, for example).
