Homeowner shoots, kills escaped prisoner in Iowa

There simply is no better example of why citizens should have the right to be armed. This escaped criminal broke into the couples home and was shot and killed by the homeowner. The assailant was armed and had already shot a local law enforcement officer before he invaded the home of the elderly couple.

Examples like this are the reason I will support the second amendment till my dying day. This is one right of the people that should never be usurped. While this is a recent example it is by no means uncommon. The fact is there are bad people out there that will do us harm.

I must have the right to defend my family and my home from people like this man.
