NOPE. Still got that problem. See the above didn't do color in the posting but did on the PREVIEW. Sigh.

I bet if I change the "A" in the initial "And" it will be OK.

But then, both colors were chosen for use with a dark background. LOL.

On the old system, there were bugs when using BB code for colors. One couldn't use CAPS or punctuation with colors--particularly right after the initial BB code. I hope those bugs don't follow us to the new setup.



It's up to it's usual tricky quirky stuff, I see. After "fixing it", it does what it was supposed to do the firs time, making me look silly trying to fix something that no longer appeared broken. LOL.

Wheeee. Business as more or less usual on such scores, perhaps. LOL.

I have used the betatest, the main problem I noticed is that none of the Avatar's are displayed. I am using an HP Laptop with Internet Explorer 10. Have not previously had a problem.

who do I sue?

It took me a few tries at logging in before it worked and allowed me to log in on my fifth attempt. I'm 100% sure I typed in the correct username and password each time so I'm not quite sure why it rejected four log in attempts only to allow the fifth one to go through.

1. Noticed some of the formatting from previous posts does not carry over (bold, italics, ect)
2. The dark scheme is fairly good looking while the light scheme feels like it needs improvement.
3. The emoticons are...well...in need of some work.
4. Suggestion for the quote boxes.... Would it be possible to carry over the same color scheme (or similar) to define quotes, ex-text, ect?

Always thought the dark colour scheme went with the top secret theme of ATS. Suddenly doesn't feel so unique or serious in lighter shades.

Correction: just seen the dark option. It's a little lighter than before, not quite as dramatic with the contrast. Not as good as the current ATS, but worth being the default instead of the white.

Using my tablet (Asus eee something on chrome) and my LG phone (using the phone android browser)... The layout is almost perfect. On a scale of 1 to 10, its a 9 for sure.

The color scheme for the default is perfect IMO. The navigation isn't quirky like other forum sites that claim to be optimized for mobile/tablet devices.

Have yet to plop in pics/vids/links, but I'm sure it'll work with my simple demands.

The mobile add placement looks modern and not over encroaching into regular use.

The reason I didn't give it a 10 out of 10 is the lack of the needed face palm emote.

For reals, the new layout works wonderful. Will continue to try and break it within my 24 hrs remainder..

I am switching between the new and current, I think the warm and inviting part may have something to do with color. The current version has more color and contrast to offer.

It goes perfect with the world now.

Imagine clicking away on the ATS forums in a dimly lit airport or bus depot while you wait for your ticket/flight to be called. All others will see a lit face, hacking away, with a determination only seen in movies, self chuckling at your clever posts. After you hit reply, you look around to loosen your neck muscles. Take a drink of water and enjoy a deep sigh of accomplishment. When your eyes make contact with the nosey insomniacs, you toss a confident nod their way. They get bewildered and continue with their candy crush game...only to realize they don't have tickets. Not wanting to seem under confident, they pretend to click away at their device only to hope to reach the enlightenment as you did.

The white/bright look will fit in IMO.

Can you include screen shots of what you're seeing on the iPhone?

I'm able to upload images without issue on my iPhone and iPad (iOS6) and Android 4.2... move the images, see my libraries, and insert images into posts.

As for the design of the mobile version, it's close to locked-in. The intent is for speed and readability on mobile devices. I may add an option to see avatars for mobile users, but it might be after launch.

It's fully functional between light and dark. There may be some tweaks, but the functionality is locked-in.

It makes sense,but it would be nice if you could get access to all 4 upload galleries with the "Insert image from your library" quick link when you are making a post.

The methodology for bringing in the popup with your images relies on JavaScript to communicate between the popup and the post form. We have a lot of "AJAX" (asynchronous _javascript and XML) in the new ATS that provides functionality without page reloads, however, to get a new image library in that popup, I'd need to load it via JavaScript/AJAX. The problem is, a dynamically loaded JavaScript cannot communicate back to the original in-page JavaScript without jumping through hoops that would jeopardize site security. So I needed to pick one library.

I tried logging in with my usuername and pw and then realized that the msg contained a specific OTHER username and PW . . . folks need to use THAT pair evidently.

Seems to be working now.

In my opinion the white background is
harsh on the eyes.

If I need to hold my mouth a certain way, I hope you'll provide a tutorial. LOL.

For those who haven't found it--it's a circle with half of it dark and half of it light. Click on that.

Went to pick up the youngest from his late band practice. While sitting there i decided to try the new ATS 5.3 on my android phone. It is an older Android OS, but every time I typed in the PW and user name it would just kick me back to the login screen. Endlessly. I couldn't get off the page and break the loop, so i had to pull my battery.

Look to the cookie.

It's best to login through the traditional website and then use the 53 link.

That's been fixing it for me.
