actually..
what that means is..
everyone knows about area 51 for decades and we have moved the operation..
so now we will admit it..
kinda like HAARP..
everyone knows it there now.. and what it potentially can do..
so an announcement is made that it is shut down.. for diesel engines not being in EPA compliance..
yeah, a quarter million dollars worth of engines closed a multimillion "research" facility who keeps in communication with nuclear submarines...
yet the funding has already went through for 2 years..
and now there are over 200 HAARP type locations world wide..
so yeah.. do trust them.. to lie every time..

The existence of the Groom Lake facility has never been secret. In 1955 the CIA crafted a statement for release to the news media through the Atomic Energy Commission to inform the public of construction of the new base. This statement, describing the location and basic configuration of the airfield (then known as Watertown Airstrip) was given to newspapers, television reporters, and radio stations in Nevada and Utah.
The media and the Atomic Energy Commission are conspiracy theorists
In 1959, the media was further informed of progress on "Project 51" at Groom Lake where EG&G was moving their radar facilities. In January 1960, an unclassified Nevada Test Site newsletter published "new Area 51 telephone numbers" for the base commander, security office, and base contractor.
Area 51 appeared on numerous unclassified maps, including those handed out to the general public by the AEC. The most famous acknowledgement of the existence of the facility was the 1995 declaration by President Bill Clinton in regard to "the Air Force operating location near Groom Lake." The CIA declassified its association with Area 51 in 2010, which allowed officials like the Agency's historian to openly use the term in public and made it unnecessary to redact "Area 51" and "Groom Lake" from declassified documents.
The Groom Lake facility has not closed down or moved. It has grown quite a bit in the last several years, and there are numerous ongoing programs there.

But if the government lies all the time should you believe them when they say it exists?

...what would be the point of having flying secret spy missions, or having secret planes, or running secret covert ops if you don't keep them secret?

The government denied its existence even with people being confronted with armed guards the landing strip.
But yeah UFOs don't exist.
