The two witnesses will come from two bloodlines, the king will come from the bloodline of King David and the tribe of Judah which brought forth kings and the other witnesses will come from the Levite Tribe which brought forth priest. The witnesses will be very humble people coming from very humble settings and not rich and luxurious settings as people suspect. The two witnesses will be the two who are suppose to be ruling on the throne other than the anti-Christ and false prophet. But God will use the witnesses as faithfull messengers leading many into the kingdom of Yeshua Christ.

And how do you know this? Any sources, links, copypasta....?

Who told you this exactly? Was it Jesus in a vision?

Last I checked, the best Biblical scholars concluded that

THE

TWO WITNESSES of Revelation

will be either

Enoch and Moses

or

Enoch and Elijah.

Probably Enoch and Elijah are expected by more scholars because they never died.

.

I hope this thread doesn't become as . . . uhhh . . . off the wall . . . as some of the assertions in that other one.

As in the 2 witnesses which are the two anointed ones standing before the Lord of the Earth in which if any one commits to harm them, fire will come out of heaven and consume their enemies.

In the book of Zechariah 3-4:14 in which he speaks about a descended coming Zerubbabel which will rule over his house and a descendant from Joshua becoming High Priest over his house and Joshua was a priest and Zerubbabal was a king. And their are many other books in the bible including Isaiah which mentions the same things but one has to read in the spirit to understand.

The two witnesses are an interesting topic I've followed real loosely in the back of my mind to current events. One of those things I'm always watching for while never expecting to actually see it. Their message, to paraphrase, would be delivered to millions I believe it indicated. A feat and accomplishment totally impossible and beyond even imagining in the days they were written of. We call it Live TV today. It makes ya wonder.

Cannot be Moses because he already died, Cannot be either Elijah or Enoch because they have already received their glorified bodies when they ascended up to heaven, so they wouldn't be able to die in their new bodies as the 2 witnesses will have to die and 3 in a half days arise again.

The two wittnesses will probably be Enoch and Elijah considering that they are the only two people to have gone to heaven without dying first. In other words, they are still alive in heaven, and they will be sent down as the two witnesses spoken of in the Book of Revelation.

A person is not able to reside in heaven without a new glorified body, they cannot live in heaven with earthly flesh.

I've never heard anyone say that the two witnesses would come from "rich & luxurious" settings. I believe it says they'll be clothed in sackcloth. What I usually see people guessing are Elijah & Enoch. Although I think I've seen the Apostle John proposed a few times as well. But wait, let me guess, you think your one of the witnesses.

What makes your "spirit" the key to understanding? Special dispensation or being anointed?

The Bible is so open to distortion and interpretation, that I put little stock in "scholars" as their agenda usually overrides their "spirit"........

As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind. 2 Kings 2:11

Sounds like he went bodily to me. Do you have a verse backing up a human not being able to be in heaven.

The problem with this reasoning is that Elijah is expected to return, the Jews leave a seat for him during passover.

If you're going to suggest a reason why he CAN'T, you're gonna have to do better than that.

I also agree with Elijah & Enoch based on Heb. 9:27. One is a jew & one a gentile.

One was known for coming against idolatry, while the other was known for "walking with God" (holiness) both of which will be needed in abundance to show ppl how to deal preach against anti-christ.

I've never found it wise or safe to put God in a box.

1. We have NO BIBLICAL EVIDENCE about WHAT God did with their bodies when He took Enoch and Elijah to Heaven.

2. For that matter, God COULD have had them put one in a closet and take on another on entry to Heaven and reverse the operation when they return. God is NOT limited in HIS options on such scores.

3. I don't think it will be Moses either. Scripture says that God buried him. I think that will likely matter. HOWEVER, GOD COULD use Moses, IF HE wanted to, imho.

Great points easy to agree with.

I hadn't thought of their types of ministry vis a vis idolatry and holiness. And I hadn't reflected on one being a Jew and one a gentile.

THX THX.

I'll be totally honest with ya on this one. I'm no Biblical Scholar and wasn't the most proper Christian even while being raised as one. Revelations wasn't an area Sunday School focused real heavily on at that age. lol...

What I learned came after reading the Left Behind series, then reading the material and supporting interviews by the guys who wrote those books regarding how close they attempted to remain to scripture in accuracy. That led me to doing more looking at the 2 Witness issue in the Bible and coming away satisfied that it's real enough to watch for as one of the final and most critical signs we'll ever have.....IF (always IF) all this is what it reads like in The Bible. It's almost a secondary event in the chaos of events described as part of the 'reality' during end times...but as something to see and not mistake for something else? I'd say it's among the most important signs.

So, if two loony nutjobs appear in public...for what seems no other reason than to be a sandwich board guy with 'Thy end is near!' type messaging? Well, I'd look a little harder at who they are and what history they have. To be sure.

Since our Op seems to be running duplicate threads I'll post in both for now:

So now I really think you think your one if the two witnesses. I've read the pertinent passage in Zechariah but other than finding the reference that revelation made to the lampstand and olive trees I have no greater understanding. If you believe God has given you greater understanding then I say out with it. A true revelation is much too important to string people along.

I also don't see why the two olive trees could not have been Elijah and Enoch. Is there a verse saying that a human cannot survive bodily in heaven if God so desires?

I mean the Angel even sounds surprised when he says "You don't know what these are" If the Olive trees are representing people and the angel is expressing surprise; it only makes sense if they are people who had been on Earth before why else would the angel expect Zechariah to have a chance of knowing who they were.

Then I guess God is a liar:

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

2Sa 14:14 For we must needs die, and are as water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again; neither doth God respect any person: yet doth he devise means, that his banished be not expelled from him.

Psa 89:48 What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.

Ecc 9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

They have to die. We've had this discussion before, but you were named a high priest right despite Jesus /Yeshua being our high priest for one and all time. The Zadok don't take on their mantel until the Milenium. They serve as priests, not high priests.
