What IS ILLEGAL is forming pride sex parades on the street, and handing out Gay party information.

IT IS NOT ILLEGAL TO BE GAY IN RUSSIA, you just have to keep it in your house, in your bedroom.

I support this, and when I see Russia protecting its borders and catching illegal immigrants and sending them back.

I see Russia do everything right for themselves. And some people say this is concentration camps,

Most educated people know this but then most people are not educated beyond reading only what they want to hear.
I really want to visit Russia in the future to see how all of this works out. I could really do without all the gay pride stuff i see all the time. It seems like people just have a persecution complex and actually want homosexuality to be outlawed so they will have something to complain about and something to march for.

So you are okay with limiting free speech so long as it conforms with your view on sexuality? You support this? I mean, I have qualms of persons that want to engage in homosexuality and while I don't want it pushed upon me or my kids (likewise that I don't want any type of sexual content pushed upon them), I could not stand with anyone who believes it is okay to limit their freedoms while claiming they had their freedoms.

Okaayy. Just a observation here but Putin was/is a ruthless KGB member. Not judging but maybe this type attitude is why Christians are taking so much heat from everyone. Just a thought.

You said Putin and 'truth' in the same sentence, first mistake. You mean the man accused of
smuggling coc aine from Germany while mayor of Moscow, that did a little bit of torture for the KGB,
and basically made Medvedev go on national tv like a beaten wife to praise Putin while being ousted.
P.S Russia doesn't have a representive government, i'm not American by the way. I personally like Russia's
confrontational stance towards America's hegemony, but to talk about Putin in a positive light when he's done nothing but swindle and rob Russian people, is so shortsighted and ill advised it makes me despair.

He was KGB sure, least he doesn't hide it and we KNOW his past.. How about a leader that can sit down with other journalist's and talk generally about world issues? What a leader that would be.. (Example I'm talking about RT YouTube)

Isn't RT owned by a parent company that belongs to Putin? Wow, utterly shocking they constantly sing his praise.
I remember one of the RT producers, when RT was first broadcast in my country (I wish I could find the clip),
basically said that all broadcasting comes with a bias and she personally thought that people could distuingish between actual facts and propaganda. She more or less came out and admitted RT is a mouthpiece for Putin's administration and should read between the lines. Just like CNN and Al Jazz. I'm an atheist and don't really like Christianity forced on me or trying ,through advertisement, tv evangelising, and people knocking on my door to try and convert me. Can I sideline your beliefs to the bedroom?

I wasn't downgrading him, just identifying a bit about who he is. Personally I'm thrilled with some of his current decisions while some of his other decisions not so much.

My point was it seems like a lot of Christian attitudes align with a dictatorial slant. My take on peoples actions whatever they are is you can do anything you want as long as it dusn't hurt others.

RT's audience is largely American and was the first TV news channel in history to reach 1 billion views on YouTube. If you call reporting on what other MSM networks don't bias so be it. Ill slam my door on JW everytime! And I think that's Muslims who perform public prayer in the streets you're thinking of. You can close your eyes when you pass a church though if you like.

The Russians seem to have a firm grip on reality and they uphold family over "lifestyle". What Russia is doing is contain the gay lifestyle to homes and establishments designated for gays... and keeping it off the streets.

I am not a Christian, but I am surprised to learn that Christianity is slowly making a comeback. Decades ago, who would have imagined that the former atheist nation that persecuted Christians would end up with a strong Christian identity!!!

You make it seem like our government doesn't smuggle coc aine and coc aine accessories, guns and so on. Our government does the same things that Russia does, only that it is either kept under the table until it's discovered (leaked) or they do it in front of us and we think it's acceptable because it's the "American way".

I'm not saying Putin is a great leader far from it but it's not like we have someone better in office right now. When it comes down to rights of any kind, I think it's up to the states/countries to decide on what path to pick and then let people select on where they want to live. Not everyone wants to live around or raise kids around gay people or Christians or Chinese people. To have the option of living where you want, in areas that either segregate or empower equality is a great thing and a necessity. Unless we live in a socialistic world where we're all forced to obey particular concepts and philosophies, then equality around the world is not going to happen.

While I embrace the idea of equality, some others may hate it and that is a disturbance to their lifestyle. To live in a world truly free, we have to have locations where it's acceptable and not acceptable to do certain things. Which is why it annoys me that people are making a federal case out of this.

What you fail to understand is long term thinking

or what you might call the BIG PICTURE

You see Russia used to be Soviet Union, and they had a collapse, the kind of collapse US will have next.

They went through the part where people had no food to eat, they experienced all that.

What the Russian leadership and people learned from all that hardship is that if you allow foreign powers to dictate your social policy through seemingly small things, like gay marriage or street gay parties. It is like giving them a foot in the door to bring in even bigger immorality.

Sex, DRUGS, more drugs, devaluation of family unit, destruction of education

So you can go ahead and think whatever you want of Putin and Russia, they will survive you.

Im okay with a sovereign nation having its own laws and rules, Talk smack against Jewish faith or Zionism in Canada and watch what happens.

As long as Russia gets a hold of any violence toward people of different sexual preference I don't see a problem with them limiting what they deem acceptable speech.

IF the people want free speech let them deal with it in their own way. With out US involvement.
