New Contest Vote -- Writers Please Opine! [UPDATED!!]

Hey guys,

So it's the 6th and there's no writing contest yet. I've had a few suggestions thrown my way and I'm going to let you guys decide.

From here until the 8th at 8 AM, please vote for one of the following:

1. Love Story Theme.
2. Humans Colonizing Space
3. Government Corruption Scandal
4. Ancient Alien Contact

All 4 would be fiction based and the regular rules would apply.

I've realized I forget that some members do not participate, because they feel under qualified or nervous about competing with our resident writers.

For that reason I will be spiting the contest. 2 winners for senior members with writer status, 3 winners who do not have writer status.

I'll have the details later when I get the official thread up after voting.

This would come out sounding like something from current events.

I'm voting for either 2, 3 or 4. I'm less interested in doing a "love story," but in some ways it is the greater challenge as it is so difficult to make it fresh.

I'll jump in whatever the topic!

And THANK YOU, 10th, for making this a split contest of Writer status and non-Writer status folks. That is incredibly fair and generous of you... Being the newbie non-writer status person, it is very encouraging! :-)

I'll cast my vote for #1. Definitely a challenge.

What could also be a challenge is taking any of the other three and combining it with #1. I think that would be very challenging!
