I can't scratch this mental itch that EOY 2013 is actually the real 2012 Mayan end date

But I haven't got anything substantial yet to back it up, although I've been trying for a few weeks now.

The only thing I can't stop thinking about is...

Remember how 2001 was really the start of the new millennium, not 2000?

And if this is correct, and they put the truth in the Book of Revelation about the 7 year Tribulation, then that coincides with my belief of the 2020 EOTW date too. (my first thread)

And now we have Comet Ison too. So many legends and stories tell of a comet heralding the end, as I'm sure you all already know.


Anyway, anybody got anything along these lines? Just need a bit of help. It does get a bit confusing, especially trying to determine an accurate start date or one that coincides with the two calendars.

The hype is over. No one is going to get roped into this again (gosh, I hope not!) You just can't build that much tension again in so many people.

The Mayans had their chance, sorry.

Even if it is up and coming, I don't think anybody will care or spend time worrying about it again.

I'll eat my favorite Pierre Cardin hat and share pictures with ATS if I'm wrong.

You would think people would be desensitized by the number of doom porn threads we've had here on ATS. I can't help but wonder if the willingness to believe is a symptom of hope that someday, the world WILL end...at least, as we know it. My recommended cure is an extensive scan of all the doom threads posted on ATS that failed to come to fruition. There's a lot to cover, so be sure to set aside a couple of hours to really soak it all in, from the first failed apocalypse to the last dusty blueprints for a rather auspiciously absent armageddon. That should treat most doomsday fevers...and if not, then no one can help you.

Just be sure to do your research before jumping to any conclusions. ATS does feature a most helpful search engine for the earnest doomsday conspirator.

I guess the weaker minded folk among us just can't let go of their doom porn addiction.

For the record, I predict Doomsday will happen when the credit card bills arrive in the mail later this week and I see how much my hubby has charged this past month- I can almost guarantee the world will be shaken!

The Mayans according to some folk gave Dec21st 2012 as a special date in Human history, they never said the end of times they said a new Chapter in Mankind.

The OP concludes that the Millenium was incorrectly dated as 2000, the correct date was infact 2001, using this logic it suggests that the Mayan date is actually Dec 21st 2013.

We are also expected to have a Comet that some expect to be visable in the Sky even during the day around the same time, many historical texts have been wrote suggesting a comet would herald the end of times.

The OP suggests that previously he has studied that 2020 would actually be the End of the world, however they conclude that 2013 could be the start of the 7 year tribulation that is mentioned in religious texts leading upto 2020 where the final battle of Good V Evil happens.

In short the OP is joining the dots and asking for opinions.

My own personal opinion is this,

The world is screwed at this moment in time, Rich Western Countries are bankrupt and broke and printing money to hide the cracks. Nothing has been fixed since 2008 except the greed of the rich cashing in on the misery of others.

Sometime soon something has to happen, either we have world wide debt forgiveness or we end up with another war, just like all previous times the world has a depression.

What worries me is that all the western governments appear not to care about the Trillions of debt and apart from some minor Austerity seem to be carrying on as normal.

This leads me to believe that they dont care, why dont they care? Perhaps they have greater knowledge of events to come.

I agree with you but there is clue "in the year 1999 and 7 months, at 45 Degs the sky will burn : Nostradamus" we all know the WTC was hit on 911 2001 2 years and 2 months off this is how many days we are off to the real time in life not my mans dates but of celestial time, It is written in the stars.
If we are to look at this as the real time line then today's year is 2011 and the month is may.

AS with before there is no end , but a new beginning , a new way of thinking, knowledge, and how we will look at all things. The old ways will come to an end. 2+2 will still be 4, it is how we treat each other that will change, The Powers the be will come to an end, for their system will fail them.

As much as I am like Littled and love me some "Doom Porn" the actuality that "something" is coming is a inevitable event, putting a said date and time on it, well that's another ball of wax.

I for one won't condemn Circle and feel he/she is just looking for the "answers" and trying put that billion piece puzzle together the best they know how.

Wouldn't be the first time people got there "math" wrong, now would it?
