there is no room for growth beyond the primordial us if to do so we must plunge ourselves deep into the animal within us while never accepting him.
forward progress is only relatively so compared to where you stand. In truth progress along a linear concept of ascension "from" our current state to a "higher" plain or level of existence as preached by new agers is essentially flawed.
How are we to go beyond ourselves if we don't even understand ourselves now? How are we to be born anew if we must succumb to all that has held us back in the past and never surrender to anything in the process?

Considering Jesus was a socialist (look after the sick and poor) I think you are not a true christian.

I believe that you are concerned that you will one day be oppressed because of the beliefs you hold. Which is a valid concern, one that anyone with such a closely held ethos would confess.
Your concern is no different than the concern of pagans during the inquisition, or Muslims during the crusades, or the Jews during the Third Reich.
The only difference is that there is no true active oppression of your belief system in the western world. Sure if you went to Saudi Arabia I bet you would get some crap for being a christian, the same way you would get some crap from being a Muslim while living in Alabama.
There will always be a group of people who wishes another imprisoned, or dead. It is part of the human condition.

So the OP is not pushing their views and demanding that only people who agree wit them post - everyone else needs to leave ?
Typical ..... start pointing out flaws and they all come out of the wood work.
Selective of you .. i must say . If you read what that quote was a response to you would see that it was perfectly reasonable.
Your god demands faith and the OP keeps making that point , so i dont know what you are talking about.
And im not american .
These posts directed at me are derailing the thread since i feel obliged to respond out of respect for something far greater than any god ....... logic.

Well not totally. After all he didn't drag any rich folks out of their house and put a bullet in their heads.
The words speak for themselves when comprehended and placed in context with other Biblical based wordings and phrases that denote a form of Spiritually Aided Raising and Resurrection, though for those that have not studied the Bible as thoroughly, it will be more of a challenge prey to confusion to gather correct interpretation.
