I watched that one on my computer a few nights ago. I don't get the Bio channel anymore, so I watch a lot of my paranormal shows on the computer.

It's another good one!

When i was a child my mom was physically abusive. I always knew it was wrong. During the bad times i remember the thought, the next time i do this i will have a "normal" family, would always pop in my head.

I have also had an intense fear of the sound of a helicopter in the distance. I still have to run and either be in a house or car. Once inside i am fine, if stuck out side i freeze.

Are these proof of reincarnation? No but it could be a factor of.

Sounds like a very good indicator you are remembering some trauma from a past-life concerning the helicopter.

And, naturally, knowing you would be able to choose a different family next time...

As far as your research goes, do you think that this is the process? That we have to "take the plunge" as it were, in order to be given the option to return? Then once the decision has been made, do we get to choose where we come back to? Seems like there would be quite the cue to come back as an English Royal. Or is it the luck of the draw and you could very well end up living in a Calcutta slum?

It is my understanding that when we die we are greeted by a loved one(s), or a spiritual icon we associated with our beliefs, (what/whoever makes our transition to the other side the easiest) to be escorted to a place where we have a "life review".
It is here that we judge ourselves on how well we learned the lessons we came to learn. There is a higher spiritual being there with us at this time also.
In my opinion, this is what Christians call Judgement Day. And the reason no one knows when it is, not even the angels in heaven, is because it is a different day/time for all of us... whenever we die.

After our life review, we make a decision whether we need to return to learn more lessons, continue with the same lesson because we didn't pass the test, or come back to help others, etc.

If we passed the test and don't choose to come back, we ascend to higher realms to enter the next phase of our learning process.

If we choose to come back to Earth, then we begin the process of choosing our parents, our location of birth, put together a plan of action arranging how things will happen to ensure that the lessons we chose are presented to us. We choose the people who will impact our life... in short, we choose everything. This takes time, and our spirit guides are deeply involved in helping us with our plan.

After we are born our spirit guide(s) and guardian angel(s) are helping to arrange things to keep us on the right path to ensure that we walk the road we came here to walk, so to speak.

Hrm, I'll say first I don't like the concept of reincarnation… To me the idea of it is like a death penalty if it was to exist (I do not believe in a higher self that is a sum of many lives and if such a thing does exist that monster (which I have no personal knowledge of) is not "me").

The idea of a life review for the sake of judgement seems useless to me and I think of it if I have to be subjected to it as a waste of time. I know who I am, I know my past, my current identity is the cumulative (continuously building on the same identity) sum total of my conscious life experience.

What type of dunce needs to lose their decided identity (the true essence of individual consciousness) to learn a lesson? I don't know about you but I can learn/understand the perspective of anything/anyone just fine without having to forget my personal decided perspective. Hrm... Having to forget your personally decided perspective to learn something else… We have a concept here on earth that fits that description… it's called "Brainwashing". How do you all feel about the concept of "Brainwashing"? Does it give you the warm and fuzzies like the concept of reincarnation somehow does?

"The Test" to who's standard? I recognize no higher authority in regard to deciding how I nor anyone else "should" exist; The diversity of individuality is a gift which gives meaning to the existence of everything (no light without dark, cold without hot, happy without sad, etc…) Going through a wash of losing your identity and personal connections as you know and value them until you fit some silly arbitrray ideal of which from our personal human perspective we (I assume we) have no true knowledge of seems illogically inefficient at the least, the end results boring more so, and plainly retarded if I was to hold nothing back. If you're not happy with yourself/who you are it shouldn't require brainwashing to change that. If you are happy with who you are why seek to change it for the sake of learning what I've read as "a council of elders" deems you should know?

Also… if you had the knowledge of how to plan a life out for the purpose of "learning lessons" then you would already understand the value of that which it is you were to learn; If you did not see the value in a lesson it doesn't mean you're wrong it would simply be a choice of decided perspective/a matter of opinion.

It's neither here nor there but a thought/memory comes to mind when people mention a "their true/higher self" (an aspect of self which people insist we live for despite not exactly being whatever the hell it is); My sister had me see a medium once, despite giving her nothing to work with she was pretty good. Funny enough this medium vehemently insisted I exist in this lifetime as my highest self, yet in the light of the beliefs some of you have of what comes next I think I would be considered spiritually ignorant or immature. I find the idea of oneness repulsive, I value the existence of negatives as they establish the value of positives, see loving everyone as belittling or diminishing love, I value chaos and diversity as spices of existence. If a higher self does exist, it's possible that it is not a literal aspect of a being you don't personally know but a concept of choosing to remain yourself instead of committing spiritual/identity hara-kiri.

Hey! I just noticed we have the same numbers after our username, except you have a 2 also. Cool!!
7, 3, and 5 are my "lucky" numbers.

Season 2 has aired it's first episode of "Ghost Inside My Child".
This episode shows a boy who remembers being Kit Carson, who was responsible for killing a tribe of Navajo Indians during the time the government was forcing them off their land.

The second story on the video talks about a girl who remembers being in the Empire State building when a plane crashed into it back in the late 1940's. She worked on the 79th floor and was killed instantly when the plane's wing came through her office.

Thanks for the heads up - so excited for another new season.

Nice thread, personally I'm pretty much a Christian but I don't believe any one religion has everything entirely right.

I do believe in reincarnation and had an interesting experience with my niece. While my parents and sister and her family and I were all eating one day she just started talking about picking her parents. She said she spent 100 (if I remember correctly) years in heavan the entire time the same age. She had a teacher who was my grandmothers great great great grandmother. She was finally told it was her time to return to earth and she said she saw how good my sister and brother in law were to her brother so she picked them.

No one, not even my grandmother, knew who her great great great grandmother was to ever tell my niece about her. She told us her name and when other family researched they learned she was right.

There seems to be an almost magical age to children before they have everyone elses idea of what is real and what is imaginary driled into their head. Personally I never automatically write these stories off as imagination.

Thak you Sled for pointing me to this thread. I'll try to watch those shows this weekend. As long as it doesn't cut into football anyways. lol

Have you all been watching the new season of Ghost Inside My Child?

They've had some good stories this season. And for those who have said this is only showing kids who claim they were famous in a past life... not true this season; Just your average kids remembering average past lives. Most had traumatic deaths. I think the more traumatic a person's death was, the more we carry the memory over into another lifetime.

Last week's show was really good. I hope you aren't missing this season. If so, go to the website in the OP and watch it from the t.v. channel online.

I have the book 'memories of heaven' by Wayne Dwyer which details stories of children who remembered their past lives or the time before they were born and they remembered choosing their parents.

I like to think reincarnation exists and I've read some compelling stories that makes me believe it's real.

BUT scientists tell us something different. They tell us that kids just have "inherited memories". But they would say that because they only believe in the science.

The video you shared Sled is non existent now but I wish I could have heard the one about the child remembering being here and dying during 9/11

Don't take possession for reincarnation.
