If I remember correctly, yes. The third shift's food was prepared and then cooled to safe storage temperatures. It was then heated for serving.
The thing about it was that none of the illnesses were severe or even very specific. They were mostly basic symptoms like fatigue, soreness, poor
sleeping and a general sense of malaise. It took a while for the picture to become clear and they didn't focus on the microwaved food at first. It
was simply a common factor that they removed and everything went back to normal.
I wouls guess it's not something you would normally see as obvious unless every meal you ate was microwaved.
