Hi.

(I searched and to my surprise this had not been posted.)

www.odditycentral.com...

So how does a turtle become addicted to cigarettes? A local chef, surnamed Tang, who is helping his boss take care of it, says it all started about two months ago when he noticed the pet had lost interest in its daily fish diet. After inspecting the reptile, he noticed there was a sharp chicken bone lodged in its soft belly, but when he tried to pull it out, it snapped at his hand from the pain, nearly biting off his fingers. Tang realized the only way he could take out the bone was to distract the turtle, so he took the lit cigarette that was resting in his mouth and gave it to the pet to bite on. Its jaws snapped on the filter and didn’t let go for hours. His idea proved effective, as he managed to remove the sharp chicken bone, but little did the cook know it would lead to an even bigger problem.

The video isn't english but you still get to see a turtle smoke.

I know it's wrong for turtles to smoke but come on did you think you would ever see it happen.

Not the biggest conspiracy or news of the day but it's a little break from the doom and gloom.

Big tobacco has been tying, for years, to target the animal kingdom with its marketing. Icons such as Joe camel and Mr Teeny, from the Simpsons, are but two examples of the tobacco companies using animal celebrities to promote smoking among animals between the ages of 1-99 years. Non-human animals comprise 99.999997% of all life on the planet and it is a market ripe for growth. This poor turtle is clearly a victim of Big Tobacco's marketing campaigns and should sue!

A couple more years and the snapper will be a college professor. The B-carbolines will make him very smart by exciting the pineal gland and the nicotine will attach to the nicotine receptors and make him crave a cup of Java.
Are they trying to turn him into a human?
