In your responses you still avoid or omit key things that i point. You seem to want to stick to the whole personal choice thing, without wanting to understand how we have been bread and developed by an ever present, ever powerful ruling body using economic and social manipulation into making the wrong choices for ourselves over the course of many generations. It did not happen overnight, or over 10 nights. We fought long and hard, but ultimately, we came out on the bottom but it is presented as us coming out on top.

You started the personal attack, Buttercookie. Then you made yourself even more suspect by ignoring my response to your attack, and even going farther by calling me intelligent after your accusation. It's either your bipolar, or covering your ass. Or just an unskilled troll. You started it, and couldn't end it right.

The fact that you ignored the possibility that a hood full of poor will after a generation or two of recidivism, will go back to being the hood despite the governments best efforts at getting to the root problem, outs you as either a lying troll, or a house servant. The fact that i mentioned that giving out welfare checks, food stamps and birth control for blacks in the hood instead of funding the hood the same way white neighborhoods are funded is not TEACHING THEM TO FISH, but GIVING THEM FISH FOR A DAY, but welfare checks and food stamps is helping the black people in your view, means your are an IDIOT black woman, though i strongly doubt you are.

Are you blaming blacks in America 100% for losing to the governments war of overt economic oppression turned covert economic manipulation, media bias and, and secret tactics of past and present to dismantle community organizations, assassinate activists, intimidate and bully followers, and all around prevent a change form being made? Of course we can be blamed for losing, but shouldn't the government be blamed for waging such a war? A war that they have NEVER, EVER been brought to justice for waging? They bear no blame for this, period?

Bill o Reilly? I heard his speech, and iv'e heard before several times, and i agree with it. But like everybody who stands by that, they either don't know, or don't care about the ROOT CAUSE OF our actions.

PTSD is a real syndrome. However, it is a syndrome for a person who have experienced direct trauma.

So the problems of the black communities today would not constitute any PTSD, because none of the slavery or Jim Crow ever happened to them.

A child of a war vet is not going to wake up in the middle of the night with 'flashbacks' from Iraq, if they have never been there.

I wouldn't say racist as much as disenfranchise. And i never said racist. I like to have solid proof when tossing that accusation around. you failed to make the connection in how one acquires the money. People do not magically wish for it. They have to be educated (at least somewhat) and work for it, unless they are born into royalty.

What connection? You can make money a variety of ways, legal or illegal if that is your goal. Master P didn't have an advanced education. It's opportunity.

I agree! But we can't let the actions of the few define the whole. I have yet to see anyone bother with the black middle class and their views on what's going on. All we hear and read are the emphasis on those poor blacks, whose situation is no different than other cultures living in poverty. Do those cultures emphasize what you mention? I don't know you'd have to look at each one individually.

As long as blacks do not vote Republican, they can never blame the Republican Party for their social issues.

You posted a vid about how Rep in North Carolina are restriciting same day voting in the day that you register. Hmmm. maybe to verify identification? Also, this thread is about "healing blacks (??)" but you added this new voter issue in as a racist tactic against blacks....explain how this new voting change is targeted against a racial group, and not Americans as a whole.

Otherwise, you are doing what many other have tried to, and that is to stick racism in places where it does not belong, and your point about the voting changes is moot.

I'm not angry with you; just showing you how what you posted insinuated that Republicans are racists- which is an age-old Democratic ploly to win the Black vote, and you promote further victimization. If North Carolina is instituing a no same day voting policy on ALL its citizens, then blacks, like everyone else need to register before election day.

Al Sharpton is an ass, and if not for me trying to get closer to God, i would take the pulpit he preaches on and smash him with it.

I just want to let you know that if you are trolling, you are hurting others. If your not, you need to open your mind doors a bit wider. You ignored everything i said before and said i am another black person not taking personal responsibility. In order for us to take personal responsibility, we need the resources to do so. Not hand outs. But you probably already know this. Your evasion is very obvious.

Once again, i apologize for the insults, i do get very emotional when people such as yourself that responds to only what he/she wants to respond to. Sorry.

Rockpuck. I would add a little to your post, but it needs nothing. Consise & to the point. But that demographic of our society will be the way they are 50 generations into the future. Some want let it go ever.....and they spread that mindset to their offspring, who repeat the process with their offspring, etc,etc, etc. That demographic of our society is the main reason racism is alive and well in their own community......It will never end,ever.

I see this happening within a lot of black families; Perhaps this is why the OP is making a PTSD claim with blacks because she sees the generational issues, and just not understanding why so many blacks harbor these lifestyles. It is as you state, being 'handed down' to generation after generation.

Please know that sincerely recognize your genuine concern for Blacks. Liek another person said, your heart is truly in the right place. However, your method to the solution is not.

I know that you would like to believe that 'love' will save the day. It is just not true in this case. In the issues you brought up (crime, poverty, low education, violence, etc) realize the root is personal choice. Therefore the ONLY solution is to personally choose to live differently.

Since if we look at history in the last 5 centuries there is no greater world criminal than white people, if you add up colonialism and slavery the Native American holocaust and many other things that were done because of white supremacy

But the white folks NEVER look at themselves as they look at other people

Personal observations:
1. The Southerners should have never brought Africans to America to be slaves. It was morally wrong.

2. A boat returning all African descendants who wish to leave and return to Africa should be available. To help their people with their education, clean food and water, and shelter issues with the knowledge they have acquired.

3. Never drive away from a fast food restaurant without checking the contents out in the South.

4. Paid work is not slavery. School is everyone's best opportunity to make their life special.

5. White people feel discriminated against too, especially women.

6. I never felt badly towards blacks until I had three different couples live in a rental house and they all really damaged it. One lady owes me $5,000.00 in damages, I have a judgment on her. It was really heat breaking, and hurt financially to have that happen. Two of the couples split up while living there.

7.Blacks don't marry so they can collect lots of government aid.

8. Education, respect, manners, getting along, commitment to family, working hard, paying bills on time, showing up on time, and being honest are the key to success for anyone in America.

The fact of the matter is that ALL people need healing not just the black community.

We can’t blame the black community for young white men going into schools and killing everything they can, something that is an epidemic in the white community.

Do we go around labeling that issue?
A WHITE PROBLEM?
NO!


Is all the Wall street banditry that damn near destroyed the world economy A WHITE PROBLEM, since just about 100 percent of the people who did that were white?

All you folks who don’t believe that the historical experience of slavery and racism has nothing to do with the “black problem” let me ask you this question.

If there never was slavery or racism in this country and black people were immigrants would there still be a “black problem”?

i love you, willtell. i wish there was a better way to bring up the topic, but the inner city folks are suffering and have been, for a long time. i theorized in the op, that since they live in a war zone, they are suffering with generational stress disorder and that the only solution i can think of is for everyone to just stop griping and refocus on being kind.

Personal choices are affected by outside factors. The mentality of the person making the personal choices has been skewed after years exposure to these outside factors that those personal choices are now rash, ill-thought, and irresponsible. Bottom line.

Oh yeah, Macus Garvey raised millions of dollars in black peoples money to move them back to Africa. Anybody who wasn't able to fit, he would return for. The government confiscated ALL of the money garnered for whatever reason, and continued a campaign of dismantling his movement. Back to Africa movement failed.

Yet another reason how "it does not matter if we are being conspired against". Sheesh...

I'm black and I think we're the 1# problem in this country.

Just read this today..alot of people say the Black Community in America needs to just forgive forget and move on because slavery is long gone but it seems other former slave nations are fighting for reparation as well

Carribean countries seek reparations

it seems the Carribean nations agree that the after effects of slavery are real
