Character limit question.

Hi, just a quick question.

If I remember correctly, the character limit that showed up on my screen was 6000 characters. When I authored my last thread, I clearly remember snipping words and rephrasing sentences so as to make it fit the limit, because I was exceeding the limit.

Now, it says I have 7500 characters to work with, and I am wondering if this is some sort of an upgrade?

What is the character limit that everybody else works with?

As far as I'm aware all new thread's have a 7500 character limit and all new replying posts have a limit of 5000 characters. I've never seen this different for any other forum here on ATS.
