I have now changed my postion, I don't think this countdown has anything to do with anything I would be interested in....a cool TV show like Max Headroom comeback, or the upcoming SHIELD series....that would be cool
But another ARG where I am supposed to spend my time investigating and adding to the story to help it become what ever it will...
I'll check back in in about 6 days to see how it goes.

and here is today's "how to" video
I still think it is a video game, half life 3 www.tekrieg.com... from the link

PUBLISHED: 3 HOURS AGONEW
HALF LIFE 3: IS THIS REAL LIFE OR JUST HALF LIFE FANTASY?

Valve has been dropping hints – with varying degrees of subtlety – on Twitter about a new venture. The rumour mill has cranked into life and is churning out tales of Half Life 3, or at least something similar. So what’s going down?
well you got to admit it the shoe does fit .

What if it's a remake of that 80s miniseries about a soviet nuke attack on the US? Can't remember the name off the top of my head right now, maybe something like The Day After (or maybe I'm confusing the name but I'm sure someone here remembers what I'm talking about)?
Just replace the Soviet bogeymen and their shiny, nuke-topped missiles. The Day After with terrorist bogeymen with their beards and super-duper donkey-mounted EMP pulse generators or dirty bombs. Then the morse code bit would make sense and the idea of it being a remake of an old tv show would fit, too.
I'll try looking for the name of that show after I eat something. I'm starving.

Yup. It was called The Day After. I remember Jason Robards was in it.

The Day After

/Off-topic whining:
Damn. This new ats layout took me a bit to figure out which fancy/obscure-ish icon meant "link." Why can't they just use "link" to mean "link," instead of ambiguous little icons? Or at least put the words under/overlaying the little annoying icons? Guess I'm not cool anymore. Sometimes, minimalism is just plain too confusing. I mean, a couple of those icons could mean "link" If it's not obvious at first glance, you should include the text - or just use the text. Don't try so hard to be new and hip. /end whining

Wouldn't be surprised if you see this happen more often, the countdown ect. You could say its been a success. Its got people talking online, on different websites.

The Final Countdown also shows the number "1".
The message is:

"It was an empire built on lies. Something is going to happen tomorrow."

It was posted here:
The account is PronunciationBureau instead of pronunciation book
www.youtube.com...

Apparently there is a duplicate site of sorts going back to the number 29, but with different messages:

Someone should look into this before it's too late.

I'm going to toss in my bet for what this is about. Now, I was never a big enough fan to remember character names, but I'm betting this is for a BSG series or movie. I watched a bit of Caprica before SyFy axed it (idiots, it was actually good) and some of the phrases in the 77 vids had my ears perk up a bit.

We'll just have to wait & see, though. Other than some "hey, that's a coinky-dink" feelings, I've got nothing else to go on.

Well, I'm more confused than ever. Definitely was wrong on the BSG guess, though.

Any ideas? I saw mentions of something called ARG in the comments...

Beats the hell out of me. Let me know if you find out, would you?

It's today's video upload for the channel. That's the best I can tell you, I tried going to the website linked on the page, but my netbook choked on the video on that one.

Yes, for just $7.00, you can gain access to some type of game. It looks like a decision-based ARG or something. You choose to either be a banker or a regulator.

Just a marketing gimmick. Although it did have me curious! I'm not mad or disappointed, just glad it wasn't something bad. I didn't think it would be.

I finally got the "game" to work on my computer just by waiting a while (seems everyone bum rushed it, probably was bogged down) I played for about 5 minutes before I couldn't stand it anymore.

Um, how to put it. Yeaaaah.... It's awful. I'd imagine this is something like what Tim & Eric would put out if they made a video game (except theirs might be less cheesy?) I like the concept, don't get me wrong, it's basically a choose-your-own-adventure book, but with actors. That concept is pretty cool. But the acting, whoa baby, it's bad.
