Here is the question:

The battle of Fallujah, who do you want to win this battle and why?
The US?
The Insurgents?

I am looking for a world wide vote here.

Well, I dont support this war in Iraq. With that being said, I DO support our troops, and I hope they come out of this battle with no casualties. Maybe when Falluja is under control, and the elections are held, we can bring our boys and girls home.

I hope we win all the battles against the insurgency so we can get the hell out of this place where we should not have gone in the first place.

What kind of question is this. You are just tring to start a fight.

There is no "winning" going on there.

This is a staged destruction derby, not unlike the Roman Colliseum's Gladiator SHOW.

Only a child would see it as a contest of Good versus Evil.

I'd like to see Iraq win the battle.

I'd like to see Iraq win the war.

I'd like Iraq to end up a generally peaceful country where people can live good lives.

No one wins or loses a battle. One side might surrender, but try to tell the soldiers cleaning up thier dead buddies afterwards that they are the winners.

I do not support the illegal invasion of Iraq by a Terrorist Rgime known as the Bush Cabal (coalition).
I feel sorry for the defenders of Iraq and the coalition troops that have been ordered to carry out the wishes of a demented Born Again Christian that thinks god told him to do it.

And Im sorry to say I think America is going to gets their derrire or heads handed back on a plate.

It seems this Rouge Administration has forgot the lessons learned in Vietnam If Bush had of done his duty back then and seen some of his own people die beside him he would not have been so quick to kill 1000 + of his own troops, its going to get much worse because of this illegal Bush Cabal. Tell your children you love them because tomorrow the may dead.

No one wins except the investors

America may win the Battle but they will never win the war.

My honest opinion is TO GET THE TRROPS OUT OF IRAQ PERIOD!!!!!!

Can i ask where you are from and what kind of question is that to ask?

I dont support the war, but i do support our coalition.

Honestly, the US troops need to "win" here to further establish some semblance of order in Iraq in these insurgent wasp nest areas.

I believe they will be quite successful in this.

While I'm not a big fan of the way Bush has gone about this war, at least now it seems we're not going into a boxing match with our hands tied behind our backs....

there is only one solution: for the insurgents to put down their weapons. because the US will keep fighting until there are no insurgents left if they don't. there is no question of who we WANT to win this battle over this one city, but more how long it will take and how many lives on both sides will be lost.

exactly Spittin..... he's trying to start a fight...

why would you even ask a question like this... you know that all Americans are going to say they want US to win the fight.... except for the extreme President Bush haters....

and all /most other people from other countries who hate the U.S. are going to say they want the insurgents to win....

dumb question.... stupid thread.... again...
'

[edit] and for the record... of course I want the U.S. to win the fight in Iraq period !!!

I was and still am against the war but having said that I support our troops 100%. I hope they do the job they were sent to do with the least amount of death and suffering on either side.

I hope they return home soon and I hope the Iraqi people finally get a place they can raise there kids in peace, which is something they havent had WAY before we invaded. Their lives were hell under Saddam, hell under the oil embargo and hell now. I wish them peace as soon as possible.

Now yall can go back to your American/Muslim bashing

I hope the US wins this fight. In fact they must win at all costs. However this move was telegraphed well in advance so most of the terrorists are long gone and will set up shop in another city. I find it mind boggling how the military planners for the US are so just plain dumb.

The truth, I want our troops to come out safe,

This is a no win situation, taken in consideration that civilians are in line of fire the city is being destroyed and finding the isurgents will be hard when they can easily blend back with the population because they are part of the population any way.

All I care is that our troops casualties will be kept to a minimum.

I want peace to win on both sides and deaths to end on both sides. The reasons are obvious.

Quote from an ATS Member:

My Response:

Not all americans are going to support the troops completely and it has nothing to do with Bush. I asked the question for a legit reason, to get world opinion, you on the other hand keep trying to subvert this thread which proves you are trying to start the fight. BTW, if the thread is so stupid then why are you posting here, would that not make you in kind? Now keep trying but realize you will fail. I set the tone, you cannot change that, you don't have the power nor intellect to do so.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Aint we the dominant one?

Seriously though, if you wanted an opinion, then maybe you should have worded your post a bit more carefully.

The opinions you are getting are obviously not the ones you want, but they are genuine opinions none the less.

You dont have to aggree with anyones opinion, thats the idea of a debate.

I didn't want any particular opinion, I wanted to see what support levels are out there. I myself hope our men are safe and at the same time hope that the civilians are safe as well. We live in an imperfect world and I know that.

if this is true, then maybe the question should have been asked in a different manor ?

maybe - Do you support our troops, the war or the insurgents...

something like that..

I dunno...
