SORRY!!! BUT GOD makes the rules what little man thinks changes no TRUTH!

As a Christian I can certainly appreciate your thread and what you are wanting to accomplish. Having said that, I don't know if a conspiracy theory web forum is the best place for you to focus your efforts. Also, if you want people to be receptive to your message, be willing to engage them in civil and tactful discourse, instead of the defensive and belligerent tone you are currently using. Being defensive and belligerent, while also giving off the impression that you are somehow better than, or more enlightened than anyone who disagrees with you is no way to win over hearts and minds. You might also want to try and respond in a more intelligent, contextual, and complete manner. To be quite honest, if I had to guess I would think that I am speaking to a 13 year old kid who just got their first laptop yesterday.

Christianity is the widest path on Earth.

Ironic isn't it?

No it isn't. If you accept that everyone who attends church once a year for Easter is a "Christian" then at most you have 1/7 of the population on Earth. And that's with the loosest definition of Christian possible.

This is certainly not the most important thread Ill ever read. To you perhaps, but I read a lot. A LOT, about a multitude of topics, Jesus, God, Budda, Jehovah, Yaweh, Jesu-ah, Krishna, Mohammed...you name it...Ive studied it.

I agree with the poster above who assumes this thread was made by a thirteen year old with there 1st computer. Get outside friend. Sunshine is good for you. Read more than the bible.

The world is a much bigger place than you even imagine. It sure has a lot more than telling the whole world what YOU SAY is the most important thing...from your bedroom window yelling scripture. Even Jesus studied many different things, so you shouldnt break it down to just one. He...did not.

A young Jesus studied only the 5 books of scripture-HEBREW scripture...the Torah...the ONLY scripture there was at the time. He never read or studied the bible becasue there wasnt one. So my question to you...as Jesus learned and knew by heart the Talmud/Torah-the only scripture-enough to argue it in the temple with the Rabbis....how much of that...are YOU versed in?

Thats what HE studied to argue with the Rabbis. I think you are missing the point of "go forth and minister to all the world". Youve got to first go out and STUDY it. All of it...and then come back to your convctions.

Otherwise you are just person shouting scripture out their bedroom window to a world you dont participate in....or have any knowledge of the vast differences of race, creed, color...enough to give all respect at a minimum.

Sorry. MS (Christian)

the bible says, 'to be always ready to provide an answer for the hope that lies within you' but you don't seem to have any?

faith without works is dead?

then he who saw, cried; upon a watchtower i stand, all day, and by this position i am stationed whole nights.

I would have to agree. Although I would call this "The Most BANAL Thread You Will Ever Read!".

So you believe in a certain concept. Good for you. The way you push your beliefs unto others shows that you really do not now much of anything. There are a multitude of different belief systems around this planet yet you are certain that yours is the correct one. Isn't Arrogance a deadly sin? Or is it Pride, perhaps?

Hypocrisy.

I know it's lip service. But secular people include them in the tally of "Christians" when they surmise that there are 1.1 billion adherents worldwide. That's precisely why I said I would be using the "loosest" definition of a Christian imaginable.

The number of born-again believers I seriously doubt is even half that.

Yes it is.

Romans 10
9 If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Over 2 billion people are on that path, and it is the largest in the world.

I think at this point in the conversation you should refer to Christ's parable of the sower.

And second point, in what sort of math is 2 a majority out of a possible 7?

Tell me another path that has over 2 billion people.

Or are you going to say everything but Christianity is lumped into one path?

Sorry to break it to you, but there are more than two paths. Buddhism is not the same path as Hinduism. Scientology is not the same path as Islam. Baha'i is not the same path and Rastafari, etc.

The non-Christian path? That has 5-6 billion folks on it.

and I didn't say it, Christ did. He said He was the narrow path, and lumped everything else as the "wide" path.

The non-Christian path? That has 4.9 billion folks on it.

The non-Muslim path? That has 5.5 billion folks on it.

The non-Hindu path? That has 6.1 billion folks on it.

The non-Buddhist path? That has 6.7 billion folks on it.

There is more than one path.

Hey, you don't have to accept what Christ said as truth, that's completely your perogative. But what you cannot do is change the context of what He said. He said He was the narrow path and ereryone else was on the wide path. So take that or leave it, it's fine either way. This same Jesus said "no man" could come to the Father except through Him. Those are what He said, you don't have to agree with Him

The thing is, you don't go through Jesus, you go through Paul's doctrine. Jesus never said you had to believe he died then rose from the dead to be saved, Paul did. He never said anything about grace, Paul did.

Jesus said to love one another and to keep his commandments, which were the streamlined version of the old commandments. Paul says works are not needed, Jesus says loving one another (works) is needed. Paul says Jesus was the end of the law, Jesus expanded upon the law by streamlining it.

The wide path is lawlessness, which Paul taught. The narrow path is love, which Jesus taught. You do not follow Jesus' path because you believe in a god who sends people to eternal suffering. Fear has to do with punishment, and love has nothing to do with punishment or fear. Since your god set up a place just for punishment, he is not love, which means he is not Jesus.

This thread reminds me of one when I was a baby ATSer. I was trying to give Christianity one more chance. I really was trying. I wanted to believe, and felt like an outcast amongst the people I cared about most for struggling to believe. Notyourtypical and Lonewolf were arguing something similar to this thread and a something really hit hard.
A comment Lonewolf made drove the final nail in the coffin but Notyourtypical helped out a lot, and definitely enforced it.

My point being is these poster do more to drive people away from Christianity than bring them to it. I really do have to wonder if they do it on purpose, and if not, do they realize what they are doing?
