very true. zimmerman is even called white in quite a few news pieces.

Martin, who was black, was on his way to a convenience store in a mostly white gated community when George Zimmerman, who is white, shot and killed him after a disputed altercation. Martin, who was carrying only candy and a soft drink, was discovered by police lying face down in the grass. Zimmerman was briefly taken into custody, but has not been arrested.

All sides are guilty of this. I keep hearing of black people referring to him as white while purposely leaving out the fact that he's also half Hispanic. This is obviously an excuse to vilify the 'white man' and blame him for more atrocities.

They seem to be overhyping it up....... The pictures they put up showed maybe a hundred at most, but then claim thousands.... Why would they do that? The video, there wasn't even a hundred people.

Yeah the video is from LA, they claim thousands turned up to protest in New York.

I dont know, I posted links from Russia today and the UK site The Metro earlier last night but was told they were anti american sites.

The above story is from Sky News ( one of the United Kingdoms biggest news channels ) so yeah maybe they are hyping it up or maybe American news channels are playing it down in fear of it getting out of control?

Hard to tell these days. You would think they would have some overhead shots of the thousands of people, though they could just put up old pictures too.....

Making the rounds on facebook now, there is a photo from the 50th anniversary of the goldengate bridge, the bridge is literally overflowing with people. People are trying to pass it up as a protest that happened today in Martin's honor. Don't know how to trust these days, have to do due dilligence no matter who reports it I guess.

I feel bad for the people who stayed up all night waiting for something to happen. You can find my post at about 2 am which is normal for me saying goodnight all. In my own way. Had to put the rifles away first.

The media's unethical treatment of this case is more annoying to me than what Zimmerman did. The media is manipulating people by lying to them about facts and portraying an agenda that is not based on reality!

I don't understand how anyone could feel okay about the media using the death of a black man to manipulate the population!

I am not focused on race here, I am focused on people basing their arguments on false premises!

Look at it this way, if the media has to lie about facts to get people to follow their agenda, it is probably an agenda that is not in their best interest to follow, or else the media would tell the truth.

Some people even still think that Zimmerman is white.

Another way to look at it is this: having an accurate perception of reality and what is going on is an extremely important facet of making healthy choices. If incorrect information is given to an individal on purpose, it will more than likely result in that person making choices that will have different effects than desired, or that are not as ethically sound as they appear to be.

Or, in the most probable (and worst case) scenario, will result in something bad happening directly to the said individual(s), as they were the ones being manipulated, it does make them a likely target for the outcome, or at the very least, an expendable asset once the goal of the manipulators is met.

Sorry I cannot, I am not sure where it originated from. It was one of those pictures with a made up story under it, that was shared by some ex friends on my facebook. Pages are set to friends only.

Last night I watched Rachel Maddow throw her ounce of fuel on the fire when she discussed the case from the 80s (I think 80s) where three white supremacists dragged a black man behind their truck, then she moved to Mathew Shepard before the final segue to Zimmerman.

If the NAACP or anyone succeeds in puttig him back onn trial then we (and by we I man intelligent people of all races) need to stand up. He was released by the police because he was justified, the mob got hi to trial where a jury proved the polices initial position that he was justifed, and now they want to try him again? They don't want justice they want a lynching.

And the media is trying to divide the races and create real racism and they are doing so by taking advantage of the anger of the poorer blacks because it's easier than taking advantage of the opposite race that has tried to correct their racism. That may sound harsh, it may even sound racist, but it's true.

And the reason? Because if we are hating each other and divided then we aren't united in hating the government during the period in history where we should more than any other time (and they know it). People here have talked distractions.. well this is a true distractin and a huge one, and if you ever considered that you should expect something big based on a distraction in the news? This is that time.

The trial has just lit the touch paper.

Much like the riots in the UK here last year, due to the shooting of Mr Duggan.

People used this as an excuse to go out and behave abhorrently.

It had nothing to do with justice. Just lower class, benefit scoroungers taking out their frustration on the TPTB because of their failed education or upbringing.

I remember one girl shouting at the camera "We are taking our taxes back"

She was about 12.

Don;t let the rioters trick you into thinking its about zimmerman, co's it aint.

Actually, the case had nothing to do with the SYG law. This was simple self defense. You don't have an option to flee (meaning no option to SYG) when on the ground being beaten. He would not have been convicted of anything in any state that has basic self defense laws.
