IMO I'm betting that Zimmerman will be found not guilty.

If so.

How soon do you think the riots will begin?

No riots?

I'm betting on people stealing TVs and couches again.

What do you think is going to happen if Zimmerman is found not guilty?

Lots of yelling, setting cars and buildings on fire, beating up innocent people who are in the wrong place at the wrong time. Of course, I think they will be looting high end electronics instead of TVs and couches this time.

Can you say "Rodney King Part 2", but worse....

Someone posted a screen shot on liveleaks of comments from people and they all say they are hitting the streets. One clown even made the comment about getting a "flat screen", so ya, it could get ugly.

I think someone will take him out if he is found not guilty. He instigated the situation, I do not think he should walk away with no punishment myself. The people in that neighborhood should have never let him out there with a gun with his weird ways. If he wouldn't have recognized someone's relative from that neighborhood he was protecting, they could have been killed.

I think people who reply to this thread should begin by answering the following question;

How much of the trial have you actually watched?

If he is found not guilty, the uneducated, entitlement mentality welfare leaches in various urban areas will probably try and riot, and like always they will burn down their own neighborhoods and businesses. I think that law enforcement is taking this threat seriously and is ready in most of the areas prone to this type of behavior. I can assure you of one thing... if any of that nonsense finds it's way onto my street, I will answer the age old question of "why in the world would anyone need a 30 round magazine?"

Hmm, what do I think would happen, or what do I think should happen?

What I think would:

I think it would turn ugly and fuel serious violence. I think it could have a backlash from the white community who feel the media tried to, incorrectly, label Zimmerman a 'Hispanic-Causcasian' (why not just Hispanic or caucasian?... it seems the media wants to make sure all the major US races are feuding)

What do I think should happen?:

I think Obama and Holder should acknowledge the tension and judgements their comments may have caused to the general public, potentially damaging any hope Zimmerman would have to a fair, unbiased jury pool of his peers.

If it turns out that T. Martin was the aggressor, not the victim, Obama's comments were support for a criminal, while at the same time and by default, a condemnation of Zimmerman as the murderer.

His comments were extremely dangerous in such a volatile situation. As the #1 leader in the United States of America, people look up to him, they trust in his words, and will follow his lead. His voice reaches every tiny town and giant city in America and much of the world. Speaking out in support of T. Martin to the entire world, saying his son would look like Martin, virtually condemned Zimmerman in the public's eye before anything had been proven or any conviction issued....

On the flip-side, if Zimmerman is convicted, the U,S.political leaders should still learn a lesson and learn to never support anyone in a criminal case before a verdict has been issued and finalized.

He will be found not guilty the entire court case has been a circus and the jury knows it. The day they picked an all white jury, and the judge pretends to be blatantly biased for the prosecution and the moron medical witness the prosecution called forward. I knew what is wanted and your exactly right riots in the streets. In consequence of the billions in damage Obama and holder will blame our system of justice and highlight cases such as this one, casey anthony's, ojs and several other cases as reasons it needs to be overhauled and the jury system scrapped. In addition, it may be the beginning of obamas 3rd term through martial law.

This whole thing is a parade escalated by the media, did anyone know the DOJ was involved in this, what business do they have sticking their nose where it doesn't belong. The gov also has their opinion about it, and have stirred an emotional hornets nest within the black community. This is playing into race riots that the gov is probably expecting so they can usher in with martial law. Just my 2 cents.

What do I think will happen if he is found not guilty; just another excuse to steal and destroy things that are theirs and not theirs by a group of people with IQ's less than that of a chimpanzee.

What do I think should happen; 100% of the evidence should be placed on the table for all to see, including FaceBook, YouTube and Twitter postings of both parties to give a clear picture of what occurred, motive and disposition. Hiding evidence and preventing the jury from seeing evidence just so that you can get the outcome you desire is not justice it's fraudulent and criminal. Let the evidence speak for itself, all 100% of it. If Zimmerman is guilty the evidence will show it, if he is innocent, it will show that. Cut the BS games, place the cards on the table then read um an weep. In the US that's never going to happen.

The court system in the US is a travesty, there is no justice, just injustice. Between the private for profit prisons, plea bargains, bribes and payoffs the US is no different than any other banana republics courts.

It has been reported on another site (to remain nameless) that the "New Black Panther Party" is bussing people into Fla. to instigate and participate in rioting.

The gov is jailing individuals who make violent comments on the web EXCEPT people making threats against Zimmerman and threaten to riot.

So, my prediction? There will be days of rioting and killings. Then the government will call for martial law! I hope I'm wrong!

You are correct that the courts are at best a travesty. My observation is that the court system seems to fuel its own version of racism by all manner of selective prosecution and how supposed justice is unequally distributed between the various races that constitute our nation. Conversely, the constant disrespect for those same varied races serve very well to inflame the vicious cycle. We (the Caucasians) insult and belittle those different from us to the point ANY response is deemed evil or over-reaching. This brings more verbal and other abuse, even sub consciously from the first, triggering reaction number two, back to the first repeating over and over.

Why can't we just all get along? I think most of us can, and can do so easily. Unfortunately, it only takes a very small percentage of unwilling egos to turn the landscape quite ugly.

In answer to the question: undoubtedly reactions not on par with one man's actions followed by finger pointing and over reaction from the opposite side.

We need to find a way to come to the "negotiating table" without preconceived determinations other than a sincere resolve to be fair and true to all involved.

I think the above is RIGHT on the money....

Morally, Zimmerman was wrong in shooting the kid. Legally, he was justified under current Florida law. This whole court case and ridiculous race argument was a circus from day one. I wonder if most people realize Zimmerman's mom is Peruvian and black ancestry?

Unlike the King riots, or OJ riots, I think the police will be fully expecting this, so should be less activity than those two incidents. There will be some though, of that I'm certain.

Read this posting from the Zimmerman trial thread. Be sure to click on the link provided in the posting. Before anyone says that there won't be looting and/or riots, they'd best go read that information.
