This has probably been discussed..

I suffer from sleep apnea and although I don,t notice it as much these days I stop breathing and wake myself up every few seconds (snort).

I have noticed that when I wake up I fall back to sleep and continue the same dream and the funny thing is I seem to know I am dreaming and can control what I do in my dream until a few seconds or a minute has passed and I wake up again.

In my dreams (which are very real and vivid) I can make myself fly, go up to a person and push them over, punch them, take off there clothes ............

Anybody else have this everyday experience?

I have this also.

Because you stop breathing for about 1 minute and Gasp! for air, you actually stay in your dream cycle and have "lucid dreams"etc.

Try to "(if you can) take longer breaths," the dreams last longer and are more exciting. You fly, have strength, and wish you could stay dreaming!

You know you are dreaming, but create events, its great! Its like its real but you know its not.

I,ve woken up several times, brushed my teeth, made coffee, got dressed and realised I was still in bed,

Apnea is the KEY.

Go to a sleep clinic! Unless you like your dreams as I do?

Oh is that sleep apnea... I get that some mornings.

I don't think I stop breathing, but those morning dreams I have like fixed breakfast and stuff, only to wake up and realize that was just a dream.

Wouldn't go to a clinic... nope, just need a (good) reason to get up lol

Once in a while I will wake up randomly during a fairly vivid dream, if I get back to sleep fast enough I seem to continue that dream from where I left off. I don't get to control the dreams though...

Sounds a bit like your REM sleep is disrupted by the apnea. Sleep apnea is very hard on the heart, you ought to invest in one of those oxygen machines that permits you to sleep the night.

You should still be able to achieve lucid dreaming. Sometimes I'm able to recognize I'm dreaming and control the dream - but I don't beat people up in my sleep. lol

Most of my dreams I don't even remember experiencing, its more like I wake up and have some sort of an idea of what the general idea of the dream was... :shk:
